Chapter 74

Chapter 74

‘arcane materials are meant to be used,’ Chloe thought, feeling only a brief pang of regret.

She still had plenty of arcane materials left, enough to start building a greenhouse.

The materials needed for a glass greenhouse weren’t too complicated.

It required 200 Premium Glass Panes, 100 units of Adhesive Materials, 100 units of composite arcane materials, and 100 Iron Blocks.

Adhesive Materials could be Slime Ooze, Red Clay, or even the Flame Fir Wood she had. She had 118 units of that, which counted as Adhesive Materials too.

For composite arcane materials, she could use Snow Essence or Flame Fir Wood as substitutes.

As for Premium Glass Panes, Chloe had 560 units of Common Glass Panes, which was more than enough. But she wanted to use the Rare Sulfur-Crystal Glass for the greenhouse instead.

After crunching the numbers, Chloe realized that even if she used up all her Glass Panes, she could only build 86 sections of the greenhouse.

Looked like she would have to settle for constructing part of the greenhouse for now.

As for the Rabbit Fur Insulation Design she just unlocked, it needed rabbit fur and rabbit hide, and she could also include the 10 units of advanced bear hide she still had from earlier.

With all the materials Chloe had now, building a greenhouse was a breeze.

‘Should I go for the Rare Sulfur-Crystal Glass, or just stick with what I have?’ Chloe wondered.

There were only six days left before the newbie period ended.

Chloe needed to carefully and quickly stockpile Cubic Yard Soil Plots, gather premium arcane materials, and upgrade her buildings.

If she wanted to make the entire greenhouse out of Sulfur-Crystal Glass, she’d need at least 1,400 units of Common Glass Panes and 40 units of Sulfur-Crystal.

Chloe hesitated for a moment.

She glanced at the Arcane Workbench, which was totally dragging its feet

It wouldn’t finish making 30 units of Sulfur-Crystal Glass until noon tomorrow.

After thinking it over, Chloe made up her mind.

If she managed to gather most of the Glass Panes and Sulfur-Crystal she needed before the Arcane Workbench finished making the Sulfur-Crystal Glass, she’d bite the bullet and go all in.

If not, she’d forge every last bit of Sulfur-Crystal Glass she could and build the greenhouse first. She could figure out the rest

later.

With that thought, Chloe went ahead and added another 20 units of Sulfur-Crystal Glass to the Arcane Workbench’s production list.

The system said: [Arcane Workbench’s mood level weirdly dropped.]

Chapter 74

Chloe pretended she didn’t see it.

She settled back into her routine, setting her fishing rod aside to rest. With the Crystal of Knowledge and Slime Heros Necklace slowly restoring her Energy.

Chloe planned to sip some Common Dew. Once her Energy was mostly back, she’d get back to building the Snow Canopy.

Chloe didn’t keep chugging Dew nonstop because she realized there was a hidden cap on Energy recovery.

The more Dew she drank, the less Energy each one restored after a certain point.

Premium Dew, as a fast-acting Energy recovery potion, was always a hot commodity in the global chat-especially on these monster-filled snowy days.

Its value was nearly on par with a Snow Canopy.

Thinking about Dew, Chloe suddenly realized she hadn’t collected any Dew from the Arcane Dew Collector in ages.

After unlocking Level 1 Territory and opening the Territory Warehouse, the territory automatically enabled a material collection feature.

It could automatically transfer the products from production buildings into the warehouse.

Chloe hadn’t checked the warehouse’s stock in ages.

And she hadn’t seen the Arcane Dew Collector around in a long time either.

For a territory barely 500 square feet, it was oddly enough that the Arcane Dew Collector hadn’t shown up for days.

Chloe couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

Checking the Territory Panel, Chloe finally located the Arcane Dew Collector. It had somehow ended up hiding beneath the Snow Canopy in the planting area, quietly enjoying itself out of sight.

The Arcane Dew Collector altered the environment around it. Chloe noticed that even the plants in the fire-element section of the Snow Canopy had little snowflakes gently falling onto their leaves.

All her magical items had their own quirks.

The warehouse had stockpiled over 5 liters of clear water, 300 milliliters of Pure Epic Dew, and 1 liter each of Rare Dew and Premium Dew.

There was also an extremely scarce 30 milliliters of Snow Essence, and absolutely no Lightning Essence at all.

Well, it had been nothing but blizzards these past few days.

The 5 liters of Common Dew were more than enough for her daily use and keeping her Energy up.

As for the Pure Epic Dew, Chloe hadn’t even touched it yet.

Thinking this over, Chloe listed several 100ml portions of Energy-restoring Dew in the high-tier trading group, offering them in exchange for Glass Panes, Sulfur-Crystal, and Cubic Yard Soil Plots..

Then Chloe picked up the player’s diary and continued reading.

It was pretty thick, but thankfully, it wasn’t some boring textbook-just a journal packed with the player’s complaints about the game, gripes about other players, and a bunch of random everyday stuff.

Cipapter 74

All those little details about daily life were actually pretty valuable to Chloe night now

After leaving the newbie period, the player found out that premium arcane materials could be traded with a banks of ica Non Player Characters, and some of them could even help unlock special Non-Player Characters goodwill

Plus, even folks without any magic talent could get their hands on special schematics to build remarkable buildings-just needed all kinds of arcane materials, and anyone could make them as long as they had the right stuff

arcane materials kept getting pricier as time went on. Their value kept shooting up.

At the same time, a lot of Natives were actively searching for anyone with magic abilities.
