Aethelgard: The Survival Game (Chloe) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82

Chloe replied to each message, sending over her prices.

MintyGrass: [My Emergency Healing Salve is Rare-grade. It can treat severe bleeding and internal injuries.

[You can use it three times after getting hurt, and it works instantly with a system click. The usual price in the trading gro is 300 Premium Supplies.

[How about I trade 3 Emergency Healing Salves for 35 pads?]

Chloe remembered the Emergency Healing Salve. It was a premium med made with MintyGrass’s Taleny Points.

Its effects were incredible. It could instantly pull someone back from the brink of death, restoring 100/Health in one sho

Chloe had seen people bidding for it in the group chat, and at its peak, it could consistently sell for 450 Premium Supplie

A one-time life-saving med like this definitely had way more demand than disposable pads.

Chloe glanced at the offer and accepted the trade.

Chloe: [I’ll get it to you by noon tomorrow.]

MintyGrass: [Okay.]

The price of emergency meds was skyrocketing in this survival game.

Just as Chloe was thinking that, Players with powerful talents started flooding her with trade requests.

LilNimbus: [How about I trade you 2 sets of loungewear, 8 sets of custom underwear, panties, and socks, plus a set of bedsheets and a duvet cover for 20 pads?]

Chloe remembered LilNimbus. Her slots were always full, and it was nearly impossible to get an order in.

Even though she only made Common and Premium clothes, gear wore out super fast in the survival game, and after a month in the game, most Players still felt embarrassed about not having proper clothes.

LilNimbus’s prices were high, but people kept lining up to buy from her.

Chloe glanced at her offer and did a quick calculation. It was a pretty fair deal.

Chloe had already been quite tempted when she saw LilNimbus selling underwear, but there was a queue.

She could afford the price, but the wait time was crazy long.

Only those who had worn the same underwear for nine days knew the horror, and that was not even counting the constant water shortage.

After trading for a bar of soap, Chloe didn’t bother with a shower, she used the soap and a splash of bottled water to wash her underwear first.

That was all that kept Chloe from feeling like a wild animal.

When Chloe saw the underwear on offer, she jumped at the deal.

She guessed LilNimbus was tired of waiting in line and decided to bring out her best stuff make the trade happen fast.

Now that she thought about it, maybe down the line, all the really good stuff would get swapped directly. Barter would be

chat.

Eureka: [Well… I can trade you 250 units of Premium Wooden Logs for 10 pads, or you can choose a piece of intel that’s worth way more than 250 Premium Wooden Logs.]

Chloe: [Is it about what happens after the newbie period ends?]

Eureka: [Yep. Trust me, you’ll want to know this.]

Chloe paused, weighing her options.

Chloe: [I’ll take the info, but I need to make sure it’s not something I’ve already heard. Is your early game news about hoarding supplies or rising prices, or…?]

Eureka: [It’s about the map and game mechanics.]

Once Chloe heard it was about the map, she instantly agreed to the deal.

Eureka: [After the 15-day newbie protection ends, if you haven’t upgraded your territory to Level 1, the system will take your land away, and you’ll become a wanderer.

[You’ll need to use the map to find other Players, and within three days, either join someone else’s territory or take out a Lord to claim their spot.

[Once the newbie period is over, the system will rank Players and assign them. The top 30% in overall progress get to pick where their territory starts on the map, and there could be all kinds of resource nodes nearby.

[The middle 30% of Players will have their territory spawn point chosen randomly by the system. It’s pretty risky.

[Even after your territory spawn point gets reset, there’s still a way to move or relocate your territory, but I don’t know exactly how it works.

[Right now, all I know is Players can choose from Forest, Island Zone, Desert Oasis, or Snowy Mountain. There are also some special zones, but I don’t know the details.

[Plus, after the newbie period ends, you won’t be able to score all sorts of loot from random treasure drops like before. What you get will totally depend on the resource spots around your territory.]

Eureka’s intel was a total game-changer.

It was like dropping a bomb.

There had to be a reason the system gave everyone 15 days of newbie protection.

Eureka: (If you don’t know what kind of map you’ll get next, you’d better stash a bit of everything.]

Chloe: (Thanks.]

Eureka: [Anytime.]

Chloe could sense the goodwill in Eureka’s words, along with a quiet warning.

This intel was worth way more than 250 Premium Supplies. If Chloe had gotten her hands on something like this, she definitely wouldn’t spread it around.

Chloe wasn’t about to tell too many people.

35 vouchers

Players were in constant competition with each other, and only the top 30% got the privilege to choose their starting spot on

the map.

Chloe planned to give Eureka 30 pads.

Building a solid relationship with a powerful intel broker was absolutely necessary.

If that was really how things worked, Chloe would need to figure out how to stash a bit of everything.

Most of her upgraded warehouse was still sitting empty.

She wondered if trading would still be wide open after the newbie period ended, or if things would get locked down.

Chloe sighed, feeling a bit uneasy.

She made a few more trades with some top Players.

In the end, Chloe managed to pre-sell all her pads.

She managed to trade for 15 Cubic Yard Soil Plots, 300 units of Premium Glass Panes, a solid 900 units of Common Wooden Logs, 600 units of Common Stones, 500 units of Iron Ore, and 200 units of Charcoal.

On top of that, she snagged 50 scattered bits of Slime Ooze, a bookshelf, a table and chair set, a wardrobe, and 10 liters of purified water.

Pads were a real goldmine. Chloe never imagined they’d make her this much money.

But after the newbie period ended, there’s no way these single-use items would keep selling for such high prices.

But what really surprised Chloe was…

Even that NobleScalper showed up wanting to trade for pads.
