Chapter 84
Chapter 84
Chloe counted her materials and found she had a total of 107 units.
But it wouldn’t be wise to trade away all her special plants just for Energy Cores,

After thinking it over, she decided to trade 10 units of Rare Fire-Leech Moss, 3 units of Lantern Grass, 4 units of WindingVines, and 3 units of Mist Lotus, along with some MintyGrass, for 20 units of Rare Energy Cores,
Once the exchange was done, Chloe had all the materials she needed.
Chloe thought to herself, ‘But this land… is starting to feel a bit too small.
‘A 15-by-12 building area just can’t fit everything I want to build anymore.
Before she knew it, Chloe had collected an insane amount of Cubic Yard Soil Plots-115 units, to be exact.
After hesitating for a moment and making sure the Arcane Defense Tower’s protection range was enough, Chloe finally made up her mind.
She gritted her teeth and upgraded her 20-by-20 Cubic Yard Soil Plot straight to a 35-by-35 one.
As a dense fog swept through, Chloe realized her territory had expanded noticeably.
Back when it was just 20-by-20, the Arcane Defense Tower, Slime Cabin, and Snow Canopy were all squeezed together, barely any space between them-like a crowded storeroom.
Now that the territory was bigger, with more open space, Chloe felt like she could finally take a deep breath.
Chloe had considered expanding her territory even further, but then she thought, “The bigger the territory, the harder it is to manage.
She had no clue what her territory would look like once the starter phase was over.
She could just stash the Cubic Yard Soil Plots in her system space and expand whenever the need arose.
After upgrading to 35-by-35, Chloe still had 20 Cubic Yard Soil Plots left-her backup resources.
Once the expansion was finished, Chloe jumped right into building the High Heat Metallurgy Workshop.
After checking her resources, she realized she was still short 800 units of Charcoal. Using her territory’s built-in Crafting Table–with no cooldown-she traded 200 units of Wooden Logs for 800 units of Charcoal, bringing her total up to 1,000
units.
With all the materials ready, she picked a spot and confirmed the construction.
A notification window appeared before Chloe. [Remaining Construction Time: 16 hours.]
Just like with the Arcane Defense Tower, construction in her territory required time.
Building anything in her territory took time.
Chloe remembered what Eureka had told her. If she ranked in the top 30%, she’d get to pick her own map.
She figured the ranking was probably based on things like Building Facilities, how developed her territory was, facility levels, Comfort Score, Safety Score, and so on-just like the criteria for Level 2 buildings.
Building Score… Chloe mused.

Once the Glass Greenhouse and High Heat Metallurgy Workshop were finished, her Building Score would definitely be sky- high.
With a Legendary Arcane Defense Tower, Chloe was confident her Safety Score would be at the very top.
But her Comfort Score still needed some work.
Chloe looked around her territory. After being blasted by the Legendary Arcane Defense Tower for so long, the place was riddled with holes and scars.
On top of that, there was mud everywhere, snow piled up, no Drainage Trench, and no elevation design. The snow in front of the Slime Cabin was bumpy and uneven thanks to the Snow Canopy’s uneven snow piles.
All in all, Chloe’s territory was a total mess-like a junk heap.
That road blueprint Chloe had acquired was finally going to come in handy.
Chloe let out a big yawn.
‘Man, it’s late,’ she thought to herself.
She checked the clock. It was already 3 AM.
Without realizing it, she’d pushed herself way past her limits again today.
Her Magic Rune Refrigerator was finally built, but Chloe was so exhausted she could barely keep her eyes open. She yawned, thinking, I’ll just leave the surprise of the Magic Rune Refrigerator for tomorrow!
Chloe headed back to the Slime Cabin, but it was as chilly inside as it was outside-no real difference in temperature.
Chloe peeled off the clothes she’d been wearing for days, managed to freshen up with some hot water, and slipped into the new underwear she’d just received.
The wardrobe couldn’t fit in the Slime Cabin anymore, so Chloe tossed all her clothes into the warehouse for now.
her changing into clean clothes, Chloe stepped onto the reindeer rug-the chill seeped right through her feet, making her
She hurried to the bed, grabbed her Warming Stone, and burrowed under the blanket.
ped up in her blanket, with the sound of wind and snow outside, Chloe felt cozy again.
eally happy, Chloe thought to herself.
ace the Glass Greenhouse was finished, she could gradually install the stove and the Rabbit Fur Insulation Design for the lune Cabin.
After that, she’d try to upgrade the cabin and see if she could expand its footprint for more space.
Chloe was quietly plotting her next moves in her mind.
She had no idea what kind of weather the system would cycle in tomorrow.
With seasons changing every three days, she figured she’d probably get some new materials once the season flipped.
Chloe could keep selling her stuff and pick up some tips from NobleScalper about stockpiling goods in the trading group.
And she’d make some time to plan out the roads in her territory.
Just thinking about her stacked to-do list for tomorrow made Chloe feel unusually fulfilled. She yawned, and sleepiness started to take over.

Her messages kept pinging, but Chloe didn’t even glance at them.
‘Whatever it is, I’ll handle it tomorrow,’ she thought.
Listening to the wind and snow outside, Chloe thought, ‘Guess it’s time to sleep.’

The notification popped up: [Starter Protection Period: Day 10
[Weather: Extreme Corruption Haze (Environmental damage has been reduced)
[Reminder: Visibility is extremely low today. Please ensure building safety.
[Current Talent Points: 4]
When Chloe woke up, she noticed how eerily dark her surroundings were.
Peeking at the System Panel from beneath her blanket, she saw it was already 10 AM.
The whole place felt as gloomy as dusk right after sundown.
Chloe changed into her old clothes, neatly folded her blanket and clothes, and then peered through the glass to check outside.
The dark gray fog was plastered against the glass. She couldn’t see a thing out there.
First thing after getting up, Chloe checked the glass flowerpot she’d left in the room.
Even without her Flora Whisperer’s Cap, she could see vibrant green shoots sprouting from the pitch-black soil.
“Wow,” Chloe exclaimed.
