She gritted her teeth and upgraded her 20-by-20 Cubic Yard Soil Plot straight to a 35-by-35 one.

As a dense fog swept through, Chloe realized her territory had expanded noticeably.

Back when it was just 20-by-20, the Arcane Defense Tower, Slime Cabin, and Snow Canopy were all squeezed together, barely any space between them-like a crowded storeroom.

Now that the territory was bigger, with more open space, Chloe felt like she could finally take a deep breath.

Chloe had considered expanding her territory even further, but then she thought, “The bigger the territory, the harder it is to manage.

She had no clue what her territory would look like once the starter phase was over.

She could just stash the Cubic Yard Soil Plots in her system space and expand whenever the need arose.

Once the expansion was finished, Chloe jumped right into building the High Heat Metallurgy Workshop.

After checking her resources, she realized she was still short 800 units of Charcoal. Using her territory’s built-in Crafting Table–with no cooldown-she traded 200 units of Wooden Logs for 800 units of Charcoal, bringing her total up to 1,000

units.

With all the materials ready, she picked a spot and confirmed the construction.

Just like with the Arcane Defense Tower, construction in her territory required time.

Building anything in her territory took time.

Chloe remembered what Eureka had told her. If she ranked in the top 30%, she’d get to pick her own map.

She figured the ranking was probably based on things like Building Facilities, how developed her territory was, facility levels, Comfort Score, Safety Score, and so on-just like the criteria for Level 2 buildings.

With a Legendary Arcane Defense Tower, Chloe was confident her Safety Score would be at the very top.

Chloe looked around her territory. After being blasted by the Legendary Arcane Defense Tower for so long, the place was riddled with holes and scars.

On top of that, there was mud everywhere, snow piled up, no Drainage Trench, and no elevation design. The snow in front of the Slime Cabin was bumpy and uneven thanks to the Snow Canopy’s uneven snow piles.

Chloe let out a big yawn.
