It’s been a couple of days since the incident, and the guilt was eating me alive. Every time I tried calling her, she would reject my call, and wouldn’t answer the phone. It was driving me crazy, and it was making me lose my mind.

I hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in the past couple of days, and it was obvious.

I looked like a fucking mess.

Not only that, Yasmine has made it her life’s mission to make my life a living hell. She would constantly throw a fit, and would yell at the maids.

It was a nightmare, and the worst part was, she refused to leave the marriage. I wanted her gone, and had made it clear multiple times. But, she refused to listen, and would not take no for an answer.

Honestly, it was a waste of time, and energy. She was a pain in the ass, and a drama queen.

Some time two years ago, I had asked for a divorce from her because I couldn’t understand how I was even married to someone I didn’t love anymore. I had sworn that my chapter was the her had ended when I found out she cheated, but all of a sudden, I found myself married to her, risked a lifetime was the my soulmate to be with her.

But, she had blatantly rejected the idea, and even threatened to kill herself if I ever left her.

Her words echoed in my head, “If you leave me, I will kill myself.”

And after that, I questioned why I even wanted to divorce her in the first place. It was a constant question of why I married her and why I never wanted to marry her. It was like my head was a puzzle that didn’t quite fit, and it didn’t make sense.

But, at the end of the day, all she was was a mistake. A mistake that I had made, and had to deal with.

And today was no different from the other days.

As soon as she woke up, she went straight to her favorite hobby.

Yelling at the maids, and throwing a tantrum.

The only reason I even had these maids was because of her. The moment she set foot in this house, she had started hiring them.

“I don’t want the blue plates, get the green ones! God, you’re so incompetent. Can’t you get anything right?”

I was getting sick and tired of her bullshit, and it was starting to drive me crazy.

“Yasmine, enough.”

She whipped her head around, her long blonde hair flowing.

“What?”

“I said, enough. You’re acting like a child, and it’s annoying.”

“Why? I can’t tell the maids how I want the plates to be?”

“You don’t have to yell at them. They’re doing their job, and you’re making their lives difficult. You’re being a spoilt brat.”

“How dare you speak to me like that!”

“Yasmine, just stop. I’m not in the mood for your bullshit, and it’s getting on my nerves.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry, darling. But, it’s not my fault your head is a mess, and you can’t even figure out your feelings. This is the least you deserve for being unfaithful! Goodness, no one should ever hear about this! The shame, the scandal. The press would have a field day, and you would never live it down. How does that make you feel?”

“Yasmine, watch your mouth.”

“Or what? You’re nothing but a fucking cheat, Dominic! A hypocrite! You’re no different from me! Going around and fucking your ex wife while being married to me? After all I’ve done for you? You are so selfish!”

“Yasmine, shut the fuck up.”

“No, I will not. You’re nothing but a worthless piece of shit, and I wish you would’ve died along with your father. He should have killed you first, before you killed him! Then maybe, we wouldn’t be in this situation!”

And that’s when I snapped.

I couldn’t handle her anymore, and had enough of her. I grabbed her throat, and her eyes widened as I dragged her upstairs and pushed her against the wall.

“Don’t you ever speak about something you know nothing about. You have no idea what I went through, so don’t ever mention my father. Don’t fucking test me, or next time, I won’t be so nice.”

I let her go, and she glared at me, her eyes filled with rage and anger.

“How dare you lay your hands on me, Dominic! You are a monster!”

“Go ahead. Run off and cry, like you always do. Play the victim in a situation you fucking created, and make the whole thing about yourself.”

“I hate you! I fucking hate you!”

“Then leave, Yasmine. Leave. If you’re so miserable, if you’re so unhappy in this sham of a marriage, then let’s fucking end it! I don’t even know why I’m still here, with you, when all you do is ruin my life. So, if you’re done, and we’re done, then leave. There’s the door, don’t let it hit you on the way out.”

“No. I’m not leaving. Because, unlike you, I actually love you, Dominic. I’ve always loved you, and I would never leave. You’re never going to get rid of me, Dominic. Especially not after all I’ve done to keep us together. You want to leave me and go back to that raggedy stupid ass whore? Hailey? Well, you can’t. She’s nothing compared to me, and no one will ever compare. I won’t let her ruin what we have.”

“Yasmine, stop. Stop this. You’re acting crazy.”

“No, you stop, Dominic. Stop, and think. Think about the years we spent together. Think about the memories we have. About all the fun we’ve had. Don’t let her destroy what we have, and don’t forget who made you the man you are today. Don’t forget the sacrifices I made, the sacrifices I’m still making to make this work.”

“Yasmine, you’re acting insane. We don’t have anything, and never did. It’s over between us. It’s been over for a long time, and we both know it. We aren’t happy, and we’re only staying together because you’re too damn stubborn to end this. Please, just end this. I don’t want you, and you don’t want me. I’m tired, and so are you. It’s time we ended this. Once and for all. Please, just end this. It’s not worth it, Yasmine.” I practically begged.

“Don’t you dare speak for me. I very much wanted you, and still want you. I don’t care about anyone else, or anything. All I want is you, and no one else. Don’t forget what you promised me, Dominic. That we would always be together. You can’t leave me now. It’s too late.”

“Yasmine, please. Enough. You’re making me miserable, and unhappy. Don’t you see that? Why can’t you understand that?”

“I’m not leaving. We will not be breaking up. So, go ahead, run to her, but she will never be me. I will always come first, Dominic. Always. You can’t have her and me, and if you decide to choose her, then you will suffer the consequences. Better think carefully, before you make a move. Remember, if I can’t have you, no

one can.”

And that was my cue to leave.

She had finally gone off the deep end, and had lost her mind. I knew this was a possibility, but had not

But, I had underestimated her, and the lengths she would go to, to keep me.

I didn’t even bother responding to her, because at the end of the day, she was nothing more than a lunatic.

A psycho, a manipulative bitch who has sworn to make my life a living hell.

I was stuck with her, and it was going to be a lot more difficult to get out of this mess, especially with her crazy antics.

It was a battle that I didn’t want to fight, and had no idea where to even begin.
