I didn’t know how he was able to bring me to my knees and hurt me, but yet again, he has done so with his words.

“I don’t think I will. Already tired of being a bitch? No, keep standing up for a man that can’t even protect you. But, don’t forget, I have already warned him, and he didn’t heed the warning. He leaned down to my height and snarled. “Do it, Hailey. Fucking dare and sleep with him, and see what happens.”

I was furious, and the only reason why I was arguing with him was because he was being an asshole, and because he had threatened Richard. And I would be a fool to think they were just mere threats.

I glared at him. “Then maybe it’s time that I push you, and see what happens. I’m tired of playing the nice and submissive woman when I don’t even belong to you anymore. You’re just a pathetic, miserable and lonely man, who has no one to call his. Even your wife fucks around with multiple men. How does it feel to finally have karma bite you in the ass? His eyes flickered, and he growled.

The pressure on my neck tightened and I started to lose my breath.

I was struggling to breathe, and the tears were forming in my eyes. “Dominic…”

He snarled and his eyes were glowing.

I tried to move, but his grip tightened.

I knew his wolf was in control, and there was no way of snapping him out of it.

He was in his feral mode, and I was the prey. I didn’t want him to lose control and shift in front of me. It had happened a couple of times before, and I didn’t want it to happen again.

“Dominic, please. Please… let go.”

He snarled and his eyes darkened.

“Baby, please. Please, Dom. Come back.”

He looked at me, and his expression softened. His grip loosened and I gasped for air.

“It’s okay. Just let go. Calm down.”

I slowly walked towards him, and stood behind him.

“Just breathe, Dom.”

He kept breathing, and was trying to calm himself.

“You have to control yourself.” I finally snapped. “You could have killed me, Dominic. How do you expect to protect Liam if you’re always losing control? I don’t understand why the hell you were so mad at Richard when you couldn’t even control yourself.”
