I’ve been waiting patiently for Aeliana in the waiting room, I keep wondering if she’s okay. These days the second I leave her, I start to worry she may be having another panic attack and it’s killing me because for once, I don’t know how to help her. Finding doctor Eleanor is about as much as I can do for her, but waiting out here while she’s in there is unsettling.

I tell myself Eleanor is a professional.

Maddox recommended her, and I did enough digging to ensure she was the best option for Aeliana. Third best actually, one is a man, the other is an older woman, one I wouldn’t want her telling her secrets to and the other. she wouldn’t feel comfortable around, so I went with Eleanor.

I’m close to going to knock on that door when they finally arrive. I move quickly, hugging Aeliana like she just came out of the lion’s den. “Hey Siren,” I say, my voice filled with relief. “You okay?” I ask, studying her.

She nods, pulling back. She looks just fine, more alive than she was when I walked her into the office, if anything she appears irritated.

Doctor Eleanor clears her throat, “Alpha Kingston, can I have a word?”

“What?” Aeliana tenses, scared she’s going to tattle.

“Oh, no. Don’t worry, Luna Aeliana,” she says with a slight smile. “I don’t intend on discussing our session with him, I simply want to discuss ways he can help you in the event that you do have another panic attack.”

“Oh.” she nods.

“I’ll be right back, baby,” I tell her, kissing her cheek and reaching into my pocket for her car keys. I gently place them in her hand. “Why don’t you wait for me in the car, and finish your drink, it must still have ice.”

She nods, turning to leave. I don’t intend to move until she’s out of sight, I keep a close eye on her. She looks back with a worried look in her eyes that makes me wonder what it is that is haunting her.

Doctor Eleanor clears her throat. “Alpha?”

“Lead the way.”

She does, we go into her overly white turquoise walls, the resemblance and ambience of her office all look comforting, and her decor screams trust me. I take a quick look around the place, knowing this is where Aeliana will spend six hours a week. “What is it? What’s wrong with her?”

“I can’t say,” she quietly says. “She hasn’t disclosed much to me, your wife is very careful with what she says, as well as how it is that she says those things. However, something caught my attention as we were speaking.”

“What was that?” I ask, curious and almost desperate. Doctor Eleanor signed an invisible NDA, she doesn’t bite on telling me anything that Aeliana tells her, and that’s fine. I did promise her I would not meddle in anything and I intend to honour that promise.

“She mentioned you engage in sexual activities very often.”

I frown, those are the last words I expected to hear from her. “What does that have to do with her panic attacks?”

“Well,” she sighs. “I’m under the impression that Luna Aeliana has been using physical contact with you to mask the issues she needs to address,” she says, her voice soft and neutral, absolutely no emotion behind it. “She’s
