Chapter 129
Chapter 129
A smooth, massive head broke the surface of the pitch-black sea, letting out a cry as it gazed at Sierra and Leah, looking docile and expectant.
As soon as Leah spotted Finn, it started cursing. “Finn, could you be any later? Sierra and I were almost goners before you finally showed up!”
Finn said sheepishly, “Sorry, I was too slow swimming over, but I brought my uncle, aunt, and mom along this time.”
With that, three enormous 45-foot humpback whales burst out of the water, sending towering waves surging toward Sebastian’s boat.
The other two equally gigantic humpback whales whipped up a massive whirlpool with their fins before diving beneath the surface and vanishing from sight.
The next second, the massive ship was lifted from below by two humpback whales, and the fishermen on board looked like helpless ants, tumbling one by one into the deep sea.
The huge ship flipped over in an instant.
Sebastian was tossed into the water, too.
Realizing things had gone south, he panicked and started swimming for the shallows.
But the dolphins and orcas didn’t give him or the fishermen a single chance.
The orcas played with the fishermen like they were just stingrays, using their big, round heads and powerful jaws to pin them to the bottom. Then, when they’d had enough, they’d send the fishermen flying 30 feet up out of the water.
Sierra looked at the dolphins gathered around her. Most of their blowholes were scarred or injured, and some bore deep, ragged wounds where sickles had sliced into their flesh, leaving them raw and bleeding.
Sierra turned aside, her hand moving gently over their battered bodies.
But in the next moment, her voice was chilling, almost emotionless as she said, “Go. Take your revenge. Make them pay.”
The Elyrians wouldn’t judge them, but the ocean would.
The dolphins called out to each other in quick succession, then converged as one, surging toward the fishermen in a wild, relentless assault.
The fishermen were ripped to shreds, their bodies torn apart until nothing but mangled limbs floated on the waves.
In no time, the water turned crimson with human blood, staining a patch of the deep sea.
But just like earlier, the ocean swallowed up the blood in an instant, erasing every trace as if nothing had ever happened.
Back then, fishermen butchered dolphins like they were just products, sold off to aquariums, stuffed and put on display, or even served up as food.
They acted like rulers, like gods, holding absolute power over thousands of dolphins.
But now, the tables had turned.
To the dolphins, these humans were like ants beneath their notice, and now the dolphins held the power of life and death
over them.

Chapter 129
The ocean was never ours.
Sebastian stared in horror at the chaos around him, then desperately made a break for the shore.
Just then, a pink dolphin leapt from the waves, its elegant arc slicing through the water as it swam directly toward Sebastian, swift and resolute.
It stopped right in front of him, locking eyes with Sebastian, hatred burning in its gaze as it surfaced.
Sebastian froze, his lips quivering.
That look of pure hatred felt strangely familiar. Suddenly, he remembered the dolphin that the Hustralian couple had released fifteen years ago.
“Y-You?” Sebastian choked out.
Without a word, the pink dolphin opened its jaws and bit down on Sebastian’s neck.
In the end, a headless body floated on the waves. With a look of utter disgust, the pink dolphin spat out Sebastian’s terrified head, then disappeared beneath the waves.
Just then, the System’s mechanical voice echoed in Sierra’s ear. [Congratulations, Host, for completing the advanced quest. Zoo upgrade progress: 50%]

The sea was calm once again.
The ocean’s incredible power washed away all the blood and pain the dolphins had suffered, swept the fishermen’s broken bodies out of sight, and left their dirty remains washed up on the shore.
Sierra sat quietly on the ship’s deck.
It was November in Elyria, and suddenly, snow started falling.
Dolphins, orcas, and humpback whales trailed silently behind the boat. The specialists on board couldn’t resist grabbing their cameras to capture the incredible scene.
Some of the injured dolphins didn’t want to be treated. The ones with lighter wounds could heal on their own, but a few needed urgent care.
After discussing with the pod, Sierra asked them to stick around the area for a while. The specialists on board would help treat their injuries.
Once everything was done, Sierra and the other five team members bundled up in heavy down jackets, sipping the ginger tea Coleson had made, just sitting there in a daze, gazing out at the deck.
Coleson had someone call the police, but he was worried they might give Sierra a hard time or try to confiscate the video
evidence.
So he wasted no time and got the wildlife rescue team out of there, leaving his most trusted people to handle the police.
After all, they had the video as proof, and it wasn’t like the wildlife rescue team had killed anyone. Worst case, they just blamed it on illegal fishing and let the dolphins, humpback whales, and orcas stand trial for it.
“I’ve already asked my friend to take the memory card back to Hustralia and give it to Mr. Carter, just like you wanted,”
Coleson said.
Sierra tilted her head slightly.

Chapter 129
Coleson explained, “Don’t worry. My friend might be a bit of a mess, but he wouldn’t screw up something this important. And-”
Sierra blinked, a little confused. “And what?”
Coleson let out a sigh. “And honestly, he’s the only one who’s been in Elyria lately for business, and he’s the only one with his own private jet.”
If they tried to fly back to Hustralia, the Elyrians would definitely give them a hard time and start asking questions. But Coleson’s friend was notorious for being a handful.
He didn’t care about his image at all; throwing tantrums and making a scene was just his style.
What really caught Coleson off guard was that he thought his friend would never agree, but the moment he heard about it, he got all serious and promised he’d protect the memory card like it was his own wife.
Coleson actually believed him for a second. Then it hit him that this guy didn’t even have a wife!
Coleson kept all that drama to himself, figuring he’d at least let his buddy save face and just talk him up a bit.
Sierra said, “Your friend really helped us out. Can I treat him to a meal when I get back to Hustralia?”
Coleson shook his head. “He only goes out to eat with other men.”
Sierra’s eyes went wide. “Wait. Your friend’s gay?”
Coleson couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
He threw his head back and laughed out loud. “Sierra, your imagination is wild these days!”
Sierra blinked, a hint of confusion flickering in her eyes.
Coleson quickly tried to explain for his friend, “Honestly, the real reason is pretty crazy. He’s got a crush on some girl, and I heard he’s already started chasing after her, so now he’s avoiding every other girl like the plague.”
After a moment, Coleson added, “He says he doesn’t want the girl he’s crushing on to misunderstand him.”
Sierra thought to herself, ‘That’s just ridiculous. How charming must this girl be to have Coleson’s friend acting like a complete idiot?’
Sierra said, “She must be a really great person.”
Sophie, standing nearby, her eyes sparkling with amusement, said, “I think so.”

Back in Hustralia, Henry got his hands on the video evidence Sierra had risked her life to capture, and his eyes were burning red with rage.
Thomas slammed his palm down on the table so hard that the jar bounced, almost ending its legendary thirty-year run right then and there.
Thomas twisted open his water bottle and chugged a huge gulp, finally soothing his bone-dry throat.
He couldn’t hold back and started ranting, “Just as I thought, petty and small-minded, no real sense of justice or decency.
“We should never have shown them any respect! Seriously, they get a little cocky and think they’re gods, riding a dolphin’s head; they think they can land on the moon. Unbelievable!”

Henry quietly stared at his jar, carefully wiping the rim with a tissue. In a low voice, he said, “You should be grateful Sierra and the others made it out okay. If something had happened to them, I would never forgive myself.”
Thomas paused, unusually silent for once.
Henry continued, “Maybe we should send more people to look out for Sierra. This whole thing was a real wake-up call. Sierra was lucky this time, but what about next time?”
Thomas didn’t finish his sentence. He knew that finding people to protect Sierra was easy enough, but coming up with the cash wasn’t so simple.
Wildlife conservation was just a small part of the bigger picture.

There were plenty of other important things out there, and if the government wanted to put in more resources, they’d have to think about other habitats and areas, too.
Sierra’s arrival had already boosted the funding for the whole wildlife protection field by half compared to previous years.
The government could arrange more protection for Sierra, but every trip into the mountains costs a fortune. Neither the government nor any of us could really cover it.
Henry let out a long sigh. “Let’s wait and see what happens when Sierra gets back.”
Thomas glanced at the memory card in Henry’s hand and asked, “So, what are we going to do with all this evidence?”
A cold glint flashed in Henry’s eyes as he gave a faint, knowing smile. “The Elyriaris’ dirty deeds deserve to be judged by the whole world.
“This isn’t the only thing they’ve done; there are plenty more, one after another. We just haven’t uncovered them all yet. Punishment never misses. Now it’s their turn to get what’s coming to them.”

That day, Coleson had everyone on the boat pretend to record with their phones, just to put some pressure on the Elyrians. In reality, there was zero signal out there; forget about live streaming, one couldn’t even send a message.
That was why Coleson was so anxious about the memory card ending up with the Elyrians. He hurriedly asked his friend to take the footage back to Hustralia for him.
That same night at ten, Henry got access to Sierra’s WonderWild Zoo account, personally edited a two-hour silent video, and uploaded it to the top video sites in Hustralia and internationally.
WonderWild Zoo’s account didn’t get much attention overseas. Sierra had just over ten thousand followers, so the post barely got noticed.
But back in Hustralia, WonderWild Zoo had a huge fanbase.
Henry didn’t say anything. He just tagged Sierra and went ahead and posted the video.
Curious viewers clicked on the video and saw it was a full hour and forty minutes long. In the footage, Sierra and her crew were sitting in the car, looking relaxed, occasionally glancing out the window.
The night outside was pitch black, but for some reason, people watching felt something was off about Sierra and her crew.
Then the scene shifted. Sierra and her team were now on a rocky outcrop. Everyone looked grim as they ate bread and drank milk.
At this point, some viewers thought they were just out for a picnic.
Some viewers got bored and clicked away.
But the moment they clicked away, the scene suddenly changed again.
You could hear Sierra whispering in the video, “Be careful. Don’t let them spot us
“It’s morning now. Aim the camera at the ocean,” she said quietly.
Sierra appeared for a split second on camera, but her gorgeous side profile was still enough to catch everyone’s eye.
Viewers were practically drooling over the screen, grinning like idiots.
But in the very next second, their grins froze as the camera suddenly swung over to the bay.
At first, it just looked like some fishermen out there fishing as usual.
But when viewers looked again, they realized something was seriously off.
The fishermen weren’t chasing fish; they were driving dolphins!
A whole bunch of dolphins were being forced onto the shore. Some fishermen even shoved homemade spears into the dolphins’ blowholes, and the dolphins let out gut-wrenching screams.
Then they grabbed sickles and started slicing into the dolphins’ flesh with brutal efficiency, as if they were just chopping up vegetables.
The water was stained red almost instantly. From above, the bay looked like it had been splashed with vivid crimson juice, but what really hit you was the overwhelming stench of blood.
Before anyone realized it, the video was already halfway through, and suddenly, voices started coming through again.
