Chapter 195 Jealousy
Solomon leaped over Sierra and the others like a bolt of lightning, its dark brown mane whipping in the wind.
Its golden eyes were filled with disgust and rage.
Its powerful limbs clawed at the earth, tense and coiled, ready to pounce.
“Roar!” Solomon let out a thunderous roar at the circus owner, its throat rumbling with a menacing growl.
Behind Solomon, Carsey was startled when he saw the lion. But then he spotted a patch of fur sticking out awkwardly on Solomon’s backside, and his eyes went wide.
Carsey reached out and touched Solomon’s butt.
Solomon felt someone touching it, and all the courage it had just built up disappeared in a flash.
Solomon turned around, catching a whiff of a familiar scent, saw a face that seemed vaguely familiar, and then noticed the empty sleeve.
Solomon exclaimed, “Carsey!”
Carsey seemed to get it, and tears started pouring down his face. “Y-You’re Solomon! I can’t believe how huge you’ve gotten!”
Back then, Solomon was already more impressive than any other lion of its age, but now it stood there like a mountain, a true force of nature.
Carsey’s voice trembled. “I’m just so glad you’re alive. I thought you never made it out. He told me you’d been killed. I’ve felt so guilty all these years.”
Solomon blinked.
But it didn’t take long to figure it out.
The circus owner loved to bully everyone. Back when Carsey was in the circus, he was treated just like the animals; the animals had no rights, and neither did Carsey.
If any of the trainers were in a bad mood, they’d always take it out on Carsey.
So when Carsey set it free, the circus owner probably gave him hell for it, maybe even told Carsey Solomon was dead just to mess with his head and make him feel guilty.
It grumbled inwardly, ‘Piece of shit, not even fit to be called a beast!’
Solomon’s eyes blazed with fury as it charged straight at the circus owner.
The circus owner was startled and instinctively turned to run.
But no matter how fast he tried to run, his puny human legs were no match for Solomon’s natural-born speed. He barely took two steps before Solomon tackled him to the ground.
Solomon slammed its paws down, pinning the circus owner to the ground, and in a flash, bit off his ear.
“Ah!” Blood stained Solomon’s mouth, and hearing the guy scream, Solomon went for his face without a second thought.
Solomon roared, “All we wanted was to live, but you locked us up just to make a quick buck, stabbed me, whipped me, now you’re going to pay for every bit of it!”
Solomon crushed the owner’s hand in its jaws, blood and flesh everywhere, then spat it out in disgust.
“And now you still want to hurt Sierra and Carsey? Like hell I’ll let you!” Solomon snarled.
Solomon shattered all of the circus owner’s limbs, leaving him soaked in cold sweat, writhing in agony, and wishing for death.
Solomon just watched in silence as the circus owner crawled on his chest, desperate to reach some place safe.
The trainers who rushed over were scared stiff by what they saw.
As the circus owner dragged himself across the ground, he left behind a long, slimy streak of blood, and in no time, flies were already swarming around him.
Seeing this, Solomon couldn’t help but remember the day its father’s spine was snapped.

Solomon’s eyes hardened with resolve as it gave the circus owner one final, cold stare.
Then, muscles rippling, it stalked forward like a predator closing in on its prey. Lowering its massive head, Solomon clamped down and snapped the circus owner’s neck with a brutal bite.
The circus owner’s eyes bulged in terror, but not a sound escaped him, not even a twitch.
He could only feel his windpipe shredded, his throat rasping out a broken, guttural noise like a busted bellows.
His eyes stared blankly, all the life gone from them.
Solomon sensed there was no breath left in the man, and with a look of utter disgust, he let go.
The circus owner’s neck was broken, leaving him sprawled limply on the ground.
By then, the military had arrived, and every last trainer and circus leader was rounded up and arrested.
The media caught wind of what was happening and swarmed the scene in less than five minutes.
So there was Solomon, blood smeared all over its mouth, but still lying in front of Sierra, rolling onto its back and begging for pets, all of it snapped by the local press.
Solomon’s story went viral in no time.
After Solomon killed the circus owner, animal-hating trolls online started demanding his execution. Some even put a hit out on him on the dark web, offering a fat stack of cash to anyone who could take it down.
Sierra had known about the dark web in her previous life. That place was infested with sickos who got off on hurting animals. They’d post bounties for twisted videos of animal torture, or pay serious money to off a viral pet.
Solomon’s bounty on the dark web had already shot up to a whopping thirty grand.
Sierra let out a tsk.
At the police station, Sierra gave Solomon a pat on the head. “Solomon, you’re worth a fortune now.”
Solomon glanced at the phone. Sierra had tried to teach it, but its paws were just way too big, nothing like those nimble human fingers.
So it kept accidentally tapping the wrong thing. Just the other day, it had scratched a long line across Sierra’s phone with its claws, and she’d ignored it for a whole hour.
Now Sierra handed it her brand-new phone, and Solomon tilted its head left, then right, before finally saying, “I can’t read the words.”
Sierra said, “Sorry, I keep forgetting you’re not human.”
She coughed awkwardly, then filled Solomon in on the bounty that had been posted for it.
As she finished the last word, Sierra noticed a trembling patch of brown fur right in front of her.
She looked down. Solomon’s all four paws were shaking.
Solomon was nearly in tears. “My human wife! Is this what you call being rich? That money’s not even for me! What am I supposed to do now?”
Solomon couldn’t believe it. It had just bit the guy who bullied it, and now so many people were after it.
Even hiding in a tree wouldn’t keep it safe from humans with guns and cars.
‘Is the mighty king of Primal Pines really about to get killed by humans?’ it wondered, ‘That’s even more humiliating than starving to death!’
The more Solomon thought about it, the more it felt like the sky was falling. It did its classic paw-begging move, paws together. “My human wife, I’m scared! Save me, help me, and rescue me.”
Solomon even stuck its tongue out for good measure.
Seriously, the whole scene was just bizarre.
Sierra’s lips twitched as she reached out and poked Solomon’s exposed belly. It was all soft and warm.
“Solomon, come back to Hustralia with me. I’ll open a zoo and keep you there. The only catch is, you won’t be as free as you were on the savannah, and your territory will be way smaller than before,” Sierra said.
As she spoke, Sierra started feeling even worse for the little guys.
Low-energy animals were easy to deal with, like koalas and sloths. She just gave them a branch, and they would chill there all day.
But big wild animals needed tons of room to move around. Not everyone was like Milo. If it could sprawl out, one would

never catch it on its feet.
Sierra was about to say something else when Solomon suddenly tapped her arm.
Solomon’s eyes sparkled as it said, “Sierra, why didn’t you tell me your family runs a zoo? You have no idea how jealous I am that Sarah got sent to the zoo!”
