The crowd was totally baffled and shocked. Even if nobody could name the exact species, everyone could tell it was a huge leopard.
But the craziest part was that the old man was actually keeping a snow leopard in the cattle pen.
[I think I finally get why the cows stopped eating.]
[Are you serious right now?]
[Cow: Finally, someone’s speaking up for me.]
[Picture this. If a leopard suddenly showed up in your house, wouldn’t you freak out?]
Sierra skimmed through the barrage of comments. Most people were just cracking jokes, but Sierra could tell the snow leopard looked miserable. The old man’s in Sunsville, and it was already summer. With that thick fur, the poor thing was practically melting from the heat.
Sierra quickly said, “Mister, your cows are too scared of that snow leopard to even eat.”
“What?” the old man said, his eyes widening. He paused to think. Now that he looked back, his cows really did stop eating right after the snow leopard showed up.
The old man stammered, “I never considered that. We rescued the snow leopard from a cliff surrounded by wolves, fearing it would be eaten, and put it in my cattle pen. Whenever hungry, it hunts my chickens and has already eaten over a dozen.”
[Wait, the snow leopard is hurt?]
[Why didn’t the old man report it to the authorities? What if the snow leopard’s treatment gets delayed?]
[The snow leopard really does look pretty out of it.]
[Come on, the old man did this on purpose, right?]
[Old folks likely don’t know better. He let a snow leopard eat his chickens and didn’t report it, probably because wild animals often appear. Can you even name the hotline of Forestry or Wildlife Protection Bureau?]
The comments kept coming in, everyone chiming in.
After hearing that the snow leopard was not aggressive, Sierra did not let the elder approach for filming, allowing her to ask further questions directly.
She knew that wild animals were usually friendly to her because of the System’s animal affinity buff, but that wasn’t the case for regular people.
Even a skinny camel is bigger than a horse, and a hurt snow leopard is still a force to be reckoned with. If it lost its temper, the old man wouldn’t stand a chance. No one should ever underestimate the power of any

animal.

Sierra explained, “This snow leopard comes from the high mountains of Central Asia. They usually live in grassy meadows or rocky terrain, and their main food is antelopes or small rodents. So honestly, your cows are totally safe.”
The old man asked, “Then why are my cow so freaked out?”
Sierra said, “It’s because neither side really knows what the other is capable of. Sure, cows are domesticated, but they’re massive, and could easily kick a grown man to death. If it ever came down to a showdown, who’d win is anyone’s guess.”
[Ha, Sierra’s got a point. Honestly, cows are way bigger and way stronger than snow leopards.]
[That snow leopard looks pretty chubby. It probably used to be a real beast, but now that it’s injured, it’s just hiding out at the farmer’s place. It knows the farmer isn’t going to hurt it.]
[Man, those cows are really pitiful.]
Sierra continued saying, “If you don’t believe me, try leading your cow out, away from the snow leopard, and see if it will eat.”
The old man did exactly what she suggested. He led the cow out of the pen, and sure enough, as soon as they stepped outside, the cow went straight for the grass, munching away as it were starving.
Just then, the cow let out a couple of moos, and honestly, it looked like they were about to cry. Even without Sierra translating, everyone could feel the cow’s relief and happiness after making it through.
The old man blurted out, “You’re a genius doctor. Let me pay you.”
Sierra quickly waved him off. She said, “This call is totally free, but the snow leopard is a precious species here. Since it’s hurt, I need to call the local wildlife rescue team and have the experts check it out.”
Due to technology and the internet, life for snow leopards was way better. They’re super important for keeping mountain ecosystems healthy, so saving even one made a real difference.
Her mind was still on the snow leopard, and she cut the stream after less than half an hour.
Commenters were stunned.
[Wait, she just ended the stream like that?]
[Ahh, Sierra, even if you want to retire, can you at least stream every day?]
[Sierra really knows her stuff.]
[I don’t know if Sierra can actually talk to pets, but she really understands animals. Just by looking at how skinny that cat was, she could tell it was because Jack wasn’t feeding it enough, not because he was abusing it.]
[Sierra just can’t stay away from wild animals. It’s a shame she’s suddenly quitting streaming, but honestly, she looks genuinely happy whenever she’s with animals.]
[Here’s a pic of Sierra hanging out with Quickie. Her smile is gorgeous, and you can see the love for animals in her eyes.]
[I noticed that, too. Sierra’s been getting flamed online for no reason lately. Even as just a bystander, it’s honestly just wild.]
Sierra didn’t pay any attention to what people were saying online. As soon as she ended the stream, she called the old man and got his address. Then she immediately reached out to the local wildlife rescue team.
Two hours later, the rescue team called Sierra and mentioned they’d run into a problem. The worker said, “This snow leopard is in really bad shape. We can’t even give it anesthesia; whenever we get close, it hisses at us and looks terrified of people.
“It just refuses to leave the old man’s cattle pen.”
‘Seriously?’ Sierra thought, utterly stunned.
Thomas was standing nearby, and after thinking for a moment, he said, “Sierra, why don’t you head over to Sunsville and check it out? Our zoo doesn’t have a snow leopard yet. Wouldn’t it be great to have one in our Zoo?”
As he spoke, Thomas rubbed his hands together excitedly. Snow leopards were so endangered. He’d been to Sunsville countless times when he was younger, but he’d never once run into one.
If he could actually get his hands on one, that would be awesome.
Sierra said, “Mr. Monroe, you saw how much that snow leopard can put away. With our zoo’s budget?”
Thomas was stumped for a second. Then, as if he’d made up his mind, he said, “I’ll go plead with the higher- ups. I don’t buy it, our zoo takes care of thousands of animals, and you’re telling me we can’t handle one snow leopard?”
‘Big eater, huh? Whatever,’ Thomas thought. ‘No matter what, we’re getting that snow leopard for our zoo.
Sierra wasn’t sure how long she’d be gone, and she knew there was no way Payton would be happy about going to doggy school. After thinking it over, she decided to ask Vivian to look after Payton.
Vivian was more than happy to help out. Taking care of a dog was easy, so she agreed right away. Payton, on the other hand, wasn’t too happy about it. It wanted to tag along with Sierra.
“Sierra, can’t you just take me with you? I’m a tough dog. If that snow leopard tries anything, I’ll take it down for you,” Payton said.
With that, Payton bared its teeth and let out a low growl, trying its best to look fierce. But paired with those icy blue puppy eyes, Sierra just couldn’t help but crack up.
Sierra explained, “Next time I go on a trip, I’ll bring you along. But this time, it’s impossible; some airlines don’t allow dogs as hefty as you.”
Payton was totally scandalized. ‘Me? Hefty? How am I fat?’ Payton thought, utterly indignant. I’m majestic. Look at these buff pecs.

Even though it reassured itself, Payton still dropped its head sadly. Then it sprawled out on the million-dollar sofa the Paterson family had bought, heaving a deep sigh.
Sierra said goodbye to Payton, went home to pack a couple of outfits, and headed straight for the airport to catch her flight to Sunsville.
What Sierra didn’t realize was that as soon as she got on her flight, the hashtag [Sierra Fake Quitting] blew up on social media.
