Chapter 64
The drug dealers, who had just spotted the baby elephant, froze when they heard the sound of the whole elephant herd coming.
Four days ago, a baby elephant barged into their factory, smashed a bunch of equipment, and even made off with a batch of goods. They’d chased it all the way, but lost it in the end.
That shipment was worth millions. If they lost it, they’d be dead meat.
Luckily, after four days of searching the valley with drones, they finally picked up the baby elephant’s trail.
As long as they found the baby elephant, the shipment had to be closed by.
But what they hadn’t bargained for was that, just as they found the baby elephant, the entire herd had come.
The elephants stood silently in the tall grass, those dark, soulful eyes locked onto the drug dealers.
The drug dealers instinctively swallowed hard, their knees turning to jelly.
“Wait,” one of them suddenly shouted.
Suddenly, one of the guys freaked out and stammered, “Wasn’t that baby elephant supposed to have fallen down? How the hell did it
get back up here?”
And just as he finished, the drug dealers stared in shock. There were actually people sitting on the elephants.
It was six of them, to be exact.
Before they even had time to freak out, the drug dealers suddenly heard a wild chorus of monkey screeches right above their heads.
Looking up, they saw a swarm of golden monkeys swinging crazily overhead, packed so tight it was like the whole sky was moving.
One of the dealers screamed.
One monkey launched itself onto a dealer’s head, digging at his eyes with both hands before chomping down hard on his skull.
In seconds, the place was filled with the dealers’ gut-wrenching screams, so horrifying that it made everyone’s skin crawl.
The drug dealers had messed with the baby elephant, and the herd wasn’t about to let it slide.
Even though Sierra gave the elephants the green light to get even, they figured these guys would have to answer to the law sooner or later, so they just decided to give them a good scare.
But to the drug dealers, the elephants were absolute giants. Even a little scare or a casual stomp from one of them would be enough to turn them into pulp.

So when the local police rushed to the scene, they could hear agonized screams echoing from afar. At the same time, the officers caught the thunderous calls of the elephant herd ringing through the air.
As they drew closer, they saw over a dozen criminals crouched in the grass with their hands over their heads, surrounded by ten elephants watching them with fierce, unblinking eyes.
Even up in the trees, the branches were teeming with golden monkeys.
The local police couldn’t believe their eyes.
As soon as the drug dealers spotted the cops, they collapsed, bawling. “Officer, thank God you’re here. We confess. Just lock us up, or even give us the death penalty, anything, just get us out of here.”
All the cops could do was stare, dumbfounded.
‘Is this for real?’ one of the officers wondered, totally baffled.
These guys were sobbing like their world had ended, looking totally wrecked.
“Hey, enough of tears. Get up now,” one of the officers shot back.
As they cuffed the dealers, the cop said, “Now you’re scared, huh? Where was all that fear when you were making drugs and wrecking whole families?”
Even though they had no idea what exactly had happened here, the cops couldn’t help but feel seriously vindicated.
Just then, Sierra slid off the mother elephant’s back and headed straight for the lead cop, quickly explaining everything.
She said, “It was the baby elephant that found the drugs. And I bet they didn’t get a chance to move all of it. There’s probably more hidden somewhere nearby.”
The officer looked grim. “We’ll pass this up the chain, but honestly, we don’t have a clue where that drug lab is.”
“I’ll let the animals show us the way,” Sierra said.
Before the cops could even process what was happening, Sierra beckoned to the monkeys up in the trees.
The little golden monkey that had helped everyone track down Pip leapt from the branches, landing on Sierra’s shoulder and chattering up a storm.
Sierra’s face softened as she gently lifted the little guy off her shoulder and cradled him in her arms, giving his head a gentle pat.
“This little guy knows the way to the drug lab. Just follow him, and when you get there, make sure to give the monkeys some fruit as a reward,” Sierra explained.
The cops exchanged doubtful glances.

But Sierra was the expert sent from the capital, and orders from above were clear. They just did whatever she said.
Not wanting to question her, the cops rounded up the whole gang and then trailed after the little monkey, which led them straight to the factory.
Honestly, this factory was insanely well-hidden, smack dab in the middle of the wildest part of the jungle. Even with the little monkey showing the way, they had to trek for a full two hours to get there.
Everyone in the group was panting like crazy, except for Sierra and Sophie, who were barely breaking a sweat.
Luckily, they finally made it to the drug factory.
As soon as they got close, they saw that the trees and grass around were scorched yellow, and the closer they got to the factory, the less greenery there was.
The seasoned local cops, guns at the ready, rushed in.
But the place was already empty, everyone had cleared out, and they were probably long gone from the forest by now.
The cops searched the whole factory but came up empty-handed, just some drug lab equipment left behind in their rush to escape.
“We were still a step too late,” the officer said, sounding both frustrated and disappointed. “All the crucial stuff was already gone.”
Before Sierra could say anything, the little golden monkey in her arms piped up, chattering away, “Are you guys looking for that smelly stuff scattered all over the ground?
“They only took part of it, there’s still some hidden around here. If you want to nab the rest of those people, our monkey troop can help out.”
The little monkey’s voice was soft and sweet, sounding just like a child.
Timothy couldn’t help but step forward and whisper, “Sierra, what did the little guy say?”
“It said the drugs weren’t all taken away. Some are still hidden. And the monkey troop can help us find the other criminals,” Sierra replied.
Timothy’s eyes widened, and he couldn’t help but glance at the cute little monkey.
Sierra knew both things needed to be handled ASAP. She gently set the little monkey down. “Hey, if you guys help me with these two things, I’ll give you a whole bunch of fruit as a thank-you.”
But the little golden monkey piped up, “We’re not just doing this for you. Those humans are seriously bad
news.
“Ever since they showed up, all the food around here got spoiled, and we had to move way out to the edges. If you kick them out, it’d be awesome for us, too.”

So really, it wasn’t just because the little monkey liked Sierra. It was more about giving the whole troop more space to thrive.
After the little monkey finished talking, it dashed back to its troop, chattered something to the monkey king, and then the whole squad scattered in all directions, hustling to sniff out any trace of the fleeing gang.
Sierra told the cops what was going on, and the officer shot back, “Relax. Once we get a fix on those criminals, they’ll be in cuffs or staring down the barrel of a gun.”
Not a single one of those crooks was slipping through their fingers.
Just then, the little monkey came scampering back. “Let me take you to where they hid their stash.”
Sierra nodded. “Alright, thanks, little one.”
Sierra gave
the little monkey another gentle pat on the head, making it feel fuzzy and light-headed, like its soul was floating.
Its feet felt like they were walking on air as it led them to a pile of rocks that looked naturally formed.
“This is the spot. I’ve seen them hide things in here all the time. After a while, people would come and take it out of the forest,” the little monkey chattered.
Sierra nodded, feeling a bit helpless. There was no way any human could budge that huge boulder.
She looked over at the elephant herd, stepped aside, and gently asked the mother elephant, “Could you help us out?”
The elephants let out a low trumpet, moved forward slowly, and with a careful push of their trunks, the massive rocks scattered across the ground in seconds.
Then they used their trunks to clear away the dirt and grass, and soon they uncovered a rusty metal hatch
beneath.
Pip trotted over, its little trunk raised. But after just a few steps, it wrinkled its nose in disgust and complained, “It smells even worse in there. Seriously, how do humans even make stuff that reeks this bad?”
As soon as Pip finished, the mother elephant nudged her aside with her foot and said, “Boy, quit poking around where you shouldn’t.”
With her ears drooping, Pip quietly shuffled off to the side, not daring to say another word.
The mother elephant and the rest of the herd moved in, nudging their trunks under the corners of the hatch. With a loud crunch, the heavy iron cover was yanked clean off the ground.
Sierra peered down and saw the massive cellar absolutely crammed with illegal drugs, stacked haphazardly as if someone had just dumped a pile of trash.
The police immediately told everyone to back off to a safe distance.
Just then, the monkeys came scampering back from all directions.

They hopped in front of Sierra, chattering over each other to report, “We saw those guys heading west toward the main road. Go get them, quick.”
Sierra asked the monkeys about the distance, then quickly relayed the info to the cops.
The lead officer was in utter shock.
They had expected this mission to be a nightmare and even prepared to risk their lives if it came down to it.
But now, not only had they uncovered a huge stash of drugs, they were about to catch the rest of the fleeing
gang, too.
It was like top honors and medals were just waiting for them to grab.
Their family was about to get a whole new chapter in the family history thanks to this.
