Chapter 129
Cora POV
Gunner could dance, I could hardly believe my luck when he started to move me around with ease, it’s not been since school dances, that I had a man that could dance more then a few steps in time with the music, it didn’t take much for me to be enjoying his moving me about, he gave clear signals of what he was doing, and that made it easier to follow his lead, it was like we had done this before.
We took a break, Gunner taking me to the edge and grabbing me some water. I watched Scones and Demetri dancing on the floor; they weren’t dancing to the music, but a slow dance to a tune inside their heads. It was so romantic watching them, snuggled up together, enjoying each other’s company. I was really glad for both of them; they both deserved to find someone special in their lives.
Looking at them now, a thought of them being my mother and father floated through, and I found it didn’t worry me at all. Scones was a good replacement, loving and caring, and Demetri, although he can be all business to others, I can see the soft spot he had not just for Scones but for me too. It’s almost like two different people, and I understand that because I am different at work than I am at home.
They soon joined us, enjoying a cool bottle of water, before Scones tried to get Demetri up on stage, I got the feeling he would have, if he weren’t someone who had such a high profile, and didn’t want his face on the news again, in bike gear. It’s more a gut instinct than being told. I would have been in the same mindset, thinking I would have my face on the news because of the ongoing town hall and park suggestions, and I wouldn’t want that to reflect badly on me.
Scones, with my help, had Gunner up on stage. He looked like it was the last place he wanted to be. He picked up a guitar and started to play. I didn’t know he could play; it looked small in his large hands. Scones started to sing first, and Gunner joined in on the chorus. The harmony was lovely, and they worked well together.
Demetri stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder as he spoke to me.
“They are good, better than I expected,” Demetri shouted in my ear so that I could hear over all the music and noise of the cheering crowd.
“Yes, they are. I have heard Gunner before, in the shower, and in his vehicle, but never like this, in front of a crowd. He started a bit nervous, but he’s really getting into it now.” We both enjoyed watching them. Demetri was swaying me side to side as we hummed along with the catchy tune. Not hard rock, but the crowd sang along to the chorus each time.
“It’s thrilling to see the crowd enjoying our partners up there singing; they must be on cloud nine, seeing the crowd’s response,” I said loud enough for Demetri to hear.
“That they do, are you planning on marrying Gunner?”
“He hasn’t asked me, are you planning to marry Scones?” I replied more softly this time.
“Yes, I am. You okay with that?” I turned and looked Demetri in the eye.
“What? Why would I have an issue with that? She makes you happy. Who am I to deny you happiness? Do

brought home a plastic fantastic, I might question your judgement, but still not my place, as long as she doesn’t try and boss me around, they will get a sad shock, I am no longer that easy pushover. “I couldn’t believe Demetri would even ask me if I would allow it.
“Sorry, I worded that wrongly. I wanted confirmation of your blessing.
“But I had already given it to you. Did you forget?”
“No, just reaffirming, guess, I am trying to tread carefully between us, so many years I have missed and don’t want to lose you, and now I have met Scones, I don’t want to lose her either, call me greedy.” He chuckled, and I wondered how I could confirm that I was okay with Scones, and with him, he hasn’t done anything wrong, regarding me, maybe distracted with Scones, but I get that, a new love and all. I know what might help him understand that I have no hard feelings and that I want us to be a family.
We clapped and cheered as Gunner and Scones finished their song, and encores were requested; they started a second song to appease the crowd.
“Dad, I am happy for both of you in my life, we can have a happy road ahead, no need to put unneeded obstacles in the way,” I spoke just loud enough for Demetri to hear me. He stiffened, and then held me tighter, breathing in my scent, like he didn’t want to forget it.
“Thank you, I love hearing you call me that, didn’t think I would ever hear it, or earn that title,” Demetri said, in a deep, husky voice, laced with emotions.
When the song finished, Gunner and Scones returned, unwilling to sing another song; they had their moment of glory. Girls tried to get close to Gunner, while some men approached Scones; both ignored the fans and pushed through the crowd to us.
“You two sounded wonderful together; the harmony was out of this world.” I crowed proudly to Gunner and
Scones.
“I agree, if you put out a record, I would buy it.” Demetri agreed pulling Scones to him and giving her a bruising kiss, while Gunner did the same to me.
The night continued with us singing happily in the crowd, so many talented singers out there, it was wonderful to see, and the clubs all getting along so well.
“Tired?” Gunner asked when I started to yawn.
“Yes, time to climb in that bedroll, and find some sleep, before I fall here.”
The four of us headed back to where we would camp for the night. I noticed Demetri’s men hovering close to us; it made me feel protected and safe. We stripped and crawled into the small space, and Gunner zipped the bag shut and rolled me onto my back. The two single sleeping bags, zipped together, made more room than the first time we slept under the stars.
Gunner started with soft kisses, my neck, my lips, my chest, his hands roaming my body. It was long before I could hear Demetri and Scones going at it. I had never been in this situation before; I didn’t know how I felt hearing them having intercourse nearby. Gunner worked on my body, pushing away the thoughts of Scones and my dad. I couldn’t hold back the groan of pleasure that Gunner was causing, and screamed out when he entered me, with one hard thrust. I didn’t pant out a noise each time Gunner plunged into me, like Scones was nearby, but I did make small mews of pleasure with each thrust. It was like Gunner, and my father was thrusting in time with each other, as crazy as that sounded. Scones yelled out her release,

followed by Demetri, where Gunner and I continued to thrust and push, and kiss, and fondle, for a while Tunger, before I felt that build–up, that caused me to scream out his name as I came, at the same time as
Gunner called out mine. The whole camp would have heard us reach our peak and be fulfilled with pleasure, and this time, didn’t feel embarrassed that everyone knew, because it stamped our names on each other, telling the listeners we were a couple.
“I love you,” I whispered to Gunner in the dark. I could see his face in the dim light from the fire pit.
“Say that again.” He urged, his face looking as if he were going to burst.
“I love you.” As I finished my declaration, Gunner captured my lips, giving me his all in that kiss.
“Me too, love you that is. I have since that first day, when you set my shoulder, and fought against me all the time, not letting me have it easy, it was more than sex for me” He peppered me with kisses, rolled me over, so we were side by side, and continued to lavish me with kisses.
“Sleep,” I mumbled between kisses.
“Yes, okay, sleep.” Gunner rolled me to my side and spooned in behind me. What a day of revelations today has been.
