Chapter 137
Cora POV
The morning came with nuzzling on my neck and fingers playing with my folds. I had thought I was dreaming at first, until my need burst through me, causing me to inhale a deep breath.
“Morning, Babe.” Gunner’s husky voice played in my ear as his hands and fingers continued to work on my lady parts.
“Someone is in a good mood,” I whispered back. Don’t ask me why I whispered; it wasn’t necessary, but lately, very little I did with Gunner made sense.
“Does that mean you will let me continue?” Not that he had slowed down with his fingers, working my lady
parts.
“Hmmm, why not? You can’t stop now, that you have me worked up, that would be cruel.” I murmured back as I moved my leg over so that Gunner could get more access.
“Roll over.” Gunner pulled on my shoulder, gently, guiding me onto my back. He kissed me on my neck, travelled up to my lips, nibbled my ear, all the while his fingers played on my lady parts, inserting a finger and then another. I could feel his shaft, hard and throbbing, his need evident.
Slowly, Gunner removed his hand and lined up his shaft, pushing it into my wet juncture, which was screaming out for him to enter me, and tingled with bliss when he did. Gunner took his time, slowly pushing in and withdrawing. It kept me on that tingling edge, where if he picked up the speed or thrust a little harder, I would be screaming his name. Instead, he kept me on the cusp of ecstasy.
“Harder,” I begged, wiggling my hips, trying to get him to push in faster, harder. I needed to finish this, wanting my release so much that I was willing to beg for more.
“Not yet.” He whispered, all breathy, and kissed my ear, the sound loud to me.
Gunner continued in his slow movement, sending me crazy with need. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get more friction, more anything.
“Please,” I begged again, but Gunner kept his slow pace, driving me crazy with his control.
“Ready?” He pecked me on the lips and stared me in the eyes, waiting for me to answer.
“I was ready when you kissed me good morning.” I whimpered back. I was so close to coming, and he was holding back.
Gunner suddenly picked up the pace, harder, faster.
I couldn’t keep up with his thrust.
How does he do it?
Sweat beaded on his forehead as he grunted from the effort.
That was all it took for me to be screaming out ‘beast’ as I exploded.

Gunner kept up the pace, not slowing for a second, and I felt myself building up for a second release.
Gunner roared out my name and continued to thrust into me, but at a slower pace, and just as I thought he was going to stop, I screamed out his name before he slowed to a stop. He was panting from exertion, but the smile on his face and the sparkle in his eyes said it was worth every drop of sweat and every bit of
energy.
“Shower?” Gunner asked as I rolled off me.
Gunner didn’t wait for my answer, but climbed out of bed and padded to the bathroom, leaving me watching those muscles in his firm butt move as he walked away.
“Beast,” I growled out as I crawled out of bed and followed him to the bathroom.
Might have to change his name to beast, Gunner is not who he is to me, he’s a beast. I walked into the shower and wrapped my arms around his waist, enjoying holding him. He put his hands on my arms and stood still, giving me the time to absorb his strength. Eventually, he resumed washing before I, too, took the soap and followed suit. I would have loved to wash his body, run my hands over his chest, his thighs, his back, but that was not happening today. I had already taken more time in bed than I should have. Hacker must be waiting for me to finish my report on the people they identified last night, who made that mess in our car park.
Together we dried and dressed before heading for the kitchen for coffee and food. There was no woman in the kitchen, so I cooked up some bacon, and we made toasted sandwiches. Gunner left to hunt down Oddball, and I headed to finish my report.
Hacker was engrossed in his computer and barely noticed I had entered the room. I had access to this room, and I doubt anyone other than Oddball could walk in without knocking and getting Hacker’s approval. I sat and started up the computer; today was my last day off. I need to work late so I can sleep through the day tomorrow. With that in mind, I was ready to put in a lot of work here, before going home and checking my staff, and if the offer for the business had been signed off, and the organisation of payment and handover, I was looking forward in getting rid of that business, it have been a lot of work, and I need more time to do other things now.
The spreadsheet was coming together; it was amazing the number of people that one company knew, not just work colleagues, but out of work, many had the same hobbies, same outings, same friends; it was almost cult-like. All the children went to the same school, the same college, and the same school camps; parents shopped at the same grocery store, and went to the same hairdresser. Six hundred men, women and children, all doing the same thing, driving the same car, going to the same dentist, and all associated with the same gun club. Now these men, whom we have managed to identify, are tied to the gun club and
the business.
“Hacker, look at this.” I had been so engrossed in what I was doing that I hadn’t noticed that Hacker had left the room. I saved what I had done and left the room, looking for Hacker and Gunner.
“Sorry, Cora, they are downstairs.” One of Dad’s men told me when I asked where everyone was. Downstairs meant in the cells; they had several men down there who needed to be interrogated, and I was not in the mood to go down. They can call me if they need me. Scrubs and Bluey were at work, which left only me as a medical attending.
I entered the kitchen to find Scones cleaning up.
“Where’s the help?” I asked, moving forward to assist her.

“The ladies on the roster seem to have gone astray, something about the stress of last night, and not wanting to be in the kitchen today. So, I have changed the roster, putting them on three days in a row, and see how that goes. Oddball will lose his cool sooner or later if those ladies keep pulling this stunt. Just because I stayed the night didn’t mean I wanted to be jumped in hère all day. When are we going home? Scones didn’t look up from the task she was doing, which was unloading the dishwasher and reloading it. It looks like the ladies didn’t put away last night’s dishes.
“After lunch, I have work to do at home, and to check up on the staff, have transportables coming next week, need to ensure the foundation work has started. Want to come with me?”
“You bet, after lunch is soon enough, see how they manage with me not here to start dinner. That’s going to be fun.” Scones sounded like she was enjoying watching the kitchen roster fail. They have relied on her for too long and have not taken a day off; they have become complacent.
We worked together to clean up the mess and make lunch. We were preparing cold meats, salad, bread rolls, all the makings for sandwiches, or a light meat and salad. We are all too busy for something more. Together we put the food on the table in the dining hall, and they can come and go as they please; hopefully someone will clean up after, because we won’t be.
Just as we finished putting the food out, the ladies who should have been in the kitchen arrived and looked like they were going to help themselves to it.
“Not so fast, ladies, you didn’t come down to clean the kitchen, why?” Scones asked, stopping them from helping themselves to the food.
“Didn’t feel like it, why should we?” One answered, one that I wasn’t that keen on, a newly claimed one who thought now she was claimed, she didn’t have to work. Not happening, chicky.
“Then leave,” Scones growled, her voice rising slightly
“What? No! I am hungry. I..” Scones stopped her from reaching for a plate.
“You don’t work, you don’t eat, now leave.” Just then, some of Dad’s men walked in, stood inside the door, arms folded, waiting.
The ladies looked at the men, then at Scones and left.
Good, that’s one way to make them see they have to pull their weight around here.
