Joshua didn’t say another word. He obediently took out the bones from her fish and peeled her shrimp for her.
A smile returned to Xylia’s face.
She realized that Joshua needed a bit of tough love to keep him in check these days.
While Joshua was picking the bones out of her fish, Xylia served him a bowl of fresh soup.
“This is your favorite soup from before. Have a taste,” she said.
“Thanks,” Joshua replied.
Dinner turned out to be pretty pleasant.
After they got married, nothing really changed between them.
Out of consideration for Joshua, Xylia still slept in a separate room when they returned to the villa.
Noelle had disappeared off the face of the earth again.
Not a single trace of her anywhere in Jupiton.
Kaden and Aaron were sure someone was working behind the scenes for Noelle.
They suspected it was Richard.
After all, if Joshua made it through that crash, then Richard might’ve survived too.
They started looking for Richard.
The news that Joshua had come back from the dead spread like wildfire across Jupiton.
The bigger and fancier his funeral was back then, the more jaw–dropping his return is now.
It even shot to the top of the trending charts, becoming the hottest topic across the country.
[No idea about the details, but the guy’s alive! My mind’s already spinning with all kinds of mystery stories.]
[When the Garcia family held that funeral, everyone was heartbroken over their only son dying. Who would’ve thought he’d come back? Did he fall into a time rift or something?]
[Come on, don’t be ridiculous. Let’s stick to science. Joshua had his accident in Daltonia, and everyone knows how chaotic that place is. They never found a body, so it was probably just a mix–up]
[What do you mean no body? They even found body parts! A guy who was blown to bits just shows up alive again? That’s seriously freaky!]
Online, people were all over the place with their theories about Joshua’s comeback.
But since most of the talk was about stuff that defied science, following official guidance, the trending topic vanished in no
time.

Chapter 355
The discussion lost all its heat.
Netizens could only reluctantly put away their urge to share.
Xavi saw the news online that Joshua was still alive.

He didn’t even wait for the meeting to finish–he rushed out of the office and sped straight to the Garcia estate.
When he saw Joshua standing there in the flesh,
Xavi’s eyes went red with emotion in an instant.
“You asshole! You survived and didn’t even bother to tell me? Do you have any idea what kind of hell I’ve been through this past year?” Xavi yelled, storming up to Joshua.
Xavi charged straight at Joshua.
Joshua reacted instantly–he snatched the apple from Xylia’s hand and hurled it right at Xavi.
Xavi didn’t manage to dodge, and the apple hit him hard on the head.
“Ouch!” Xavi yelped, clutching his forehead.
He was sure a lump was already forming there.
Xylia was caught off guard too.
Seeing Xavi crouched on the ground, clutching his head, Xylia shot Joshua a reproachful look, patted his shoulder, and hurried over to check on Xavi.
“Sorry about that. Joshua’s lost his memory right now, so he didn’t mean it,” she explained.
Xavi stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Xylia’s words.
He stared up at her, eyes wide with disbelief.
“What did you say?” he asked, stunned.
Xavi’s forehead was already turning a little purple from the hit.
Xylia pressed her lips together, looking at him apologetically,
He seemed to forget all about the pain and got up, turning to Joshua.
Joshua still had that same sour look on his face.
Xavi leaned in close to Xylia and whispered,
“He really lost his memory?”
Xylia nodded. “That’s how he was when we found him. He got into a car accident saving a little girl, and he’s still recovering from his injuries.”
Xavi nodded, taking it all in.
When he looked up again, Joshua’s scowl had gotten even deeper.

Joshua was staring daggers at him, like he could kill him on the spot.
Xavi knew that look all too well.
He glanced down and realized he was standing a bit too close to Xylia, so he instinctively stepped away.
Joshua’s expression eased up a little.
Xavi snorted, suddenly doubting Xylia’s story.
After all, Joshua was still just as jealous and possessive as ever.
He walked right up to Joshua, acting cheeky. “What, you seriously don’t recognize me?”
Joshua glanced at him, then quickly turned his head away.
He looked like he couldn’t care less about him.

Xavi gritted his teeth. “Come on, I’m your big bro! You used to call me that all the time. Say it for old times‘ sake.”
He stared at Joshua, waiting expectantly.
Joshua finally spoke, just one word.
“Get lost.”
Xavi’s heart sank.
His own bro didn’t even recognize him, and acted like he was annoying.
Xylia walked over helplessly. “Alright, stop messing with him.”
As soon as Xylia came over, Joshua looked up at her, his voice much gentler.
“Push me inside,” he said.
Xylia shot Xavi a shrug and pushed Joshua toward the villa,
Xavi rubbed his nose and tagged along behind them.
The nanny had just finished feeding Luna and was playing with her in the living room.
Xavi walked over, grinning as he teased Luna.
“Hey, Luna, we skipped your one–month party, but we’ve got to throw a huge bash for your hundred–day celebration, right?”
Xylia smiled. “We did a little something at home for her one–month, but for the hundred–day party, you guys are definitely
invited.”
Xavi took Luna from the nanny’s arms.
He walked over to Joshua.
“So, you lost your memory and ended up with a daughter. How does that feel?” Xavi joked.
Joshua felt like giving him another lump on the head.

He scooped Luna out of Xavi’s arms and into his own.
He looked down, playing with Luna, but his words were clearly for Xavi.
“Be good, Luna. Anyone who shows up without a present is a bad guy. Just ignore him,” Joshua said.
Luna seemed to really like Joshua.

She watched him talk, and even though she didn’t understand a word, her eyes twinkled and she suddenly burst out giggling.
The whole scene was heart–melting.
Xylia nearly forgot to call Joshua out for his nonsense.
Xavi scratched his head. “Hey, I just found out you were alive and got so hyped I didn’t have time to grab a baby gift. It’s all ready though–I swear, next time I’ll bring it for Luna.”
He reached out, wanting to hold Luna again.
Joshua wasn’t having any of it.
Xylia gave Joshua a gentle nudge. “Show some manners, will you?”
Joshua shot Xylia a look, then finally–though reluctantly–invited Xavi to sit.
“Sit down,” he said.
He had no intention of handing Luna over.
Thanks to their blood bond, it only took a few days for him to fully embrace her as his own.
Xylia poured Xavi a glass of juice.
Xavi looked at Xylia and suddenly said, “Oh, by the way, Chase Bell reached out to me about a winter collection. I was thinking of teaming up with someone. Would your studio be interested in working together?”
“I’ll give you the contact info for the person in charge now. You can reach out to her directly,” Xylia said.
Xylia handed Xavi Sheryl’s number.
Xavi frowned at Xylia.
“You…” he started.
He was about to say something, but Xylia shot him a look that cut him off.
Xavi glanced at Joshua sitting nearby, then just nodded without saying anything else.
“I’ll get in touch with her,” he said.
Xylia nodded.
Joshua watched how comfortable Xylia and Xavi were with each other, and he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy.
It was like someone was coveting what was his, and that really pissed him off.
