Chapter 362
Chapter 362
As soon as that thought hit him, Joshua felt jealousy surge inside, leaving his mind dizzy.
He slowly let go of Xylia’s hand.
His voice turned cold.
‘Got it,” he said.
Xylia didn’t pick up on Joshua’s mood.
After all, he’d been pretty indifferent toward her lately.
Not giving it a second thought, she ladled out a bowl of soup for Joshua.
‘Have some bone broth–I got up early to make it. It’s good for you,” she said.
She grinned at Joshua, clearly fishing for a compliment.
Joshua paused for a moment before finally taking the bowl.
He looked at Xylia and said, “From now on, you’re not allowed in the kitchen.”
His voice was still cold, but there was a childish undertone to it.
Xylia just smiled.
“Okay.”

Ever since Kaden and the others kicked Noelle out of the hospital, she’d been staying at a villa on the outskirts of Jupiton.
If it were just her, she could never have managed to settle down in a place like this.
But she still had someone influential backing her up.
Noelle was sitting on the couch, staring at the trending news about Joshua throwing a hundred–day celebration for his daughter.
Her face twisted with resentment, unable to hide the hatred etched across her features.
After a long moment, she slammed her phone onto the floor.
Noelle shouted, “Joshua, I was the one who saved you! I’m supposed to be your girlfriend–how could you just turn around and get back together with Xylia?”
Finishing her outburst, she clenched her fists so hard her nails dug into her palms, blood dripping down onto the floor.
“Xylia, you bitch! Why do you keep haunting me? Why do you always have to steal Joshua away from me?” Noelle screamed.
She looked absolutely deranged, her eyes blazing red with fury.
It was obvious her hatred for Joshua and Xylia had reached a fever pitch.

Suddenly, there was a commotion at the door.
A strikingly handsome man, dressed in a red suit and with brown hair, walked right in.

Glancing at the chaos in the living room, he smirked and joked, “Ms. Coffey, throwing a tantrum all by yourself here? Isn’t that a bit sad?”
Hearing his voice, Noelle turned and glared at him.
“How much longer are you going to keep me cooped up in here? You said you’d help me–so why won’t you let me go see Joshua?” she demanded.
The man sprawled out on the couch, kicking his legs up onto the coffee table like he owned the place.
He had that classic mix of East and West–strong jawline, high nose bridge, deep–set eyes. If it weren’t for those piercing blue eyes, you’d never guess he was a foreigner.
Compared to Noelle’s crazy meltdown, he was totally chill.
“What’s the hurry, Ms. Coffey? Relax–I’m here to help, aren’t I?” he said.
He lit up a cigar, completely absorbed in his own world, and slowly exhaled a stream of smoke.
The man said, “Joshua’s been trying to track you down on the sly. I’ve already spread the word–he’ll probably show up here any minute now.”
Noelle’s face relaxed a bit when she heard that.
She looked at him, surprised and a little excited. “Joshua’s looking for me?”
The man nodded.
Noelle couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“See? Joshua really does care about me. He doesn’t even remember Xylia now–I’m the one he’s with. They must’ve forced him to go back to the Garcia and Sadler families!” she said.
As she spoke, Noelle ran her fingers through her tangled hair, then sprang to her feet, determined to storm out.
I’m going to find him right now!” Noelle shouted.
“Stop right there, the man said coldly.
His words made Noelle freeze, her steps halted before she could reach the door
“Yeah, you messed with Joshua’s memory, but there’s no guarantee it won’t come back. If you go running to him and try to explain, he’ll start to suspect something, he warned.
“Impossible,” Noelle muttered, dropping her gaze as she spoke with conviction. “That doctor swore up and down–there’s absolutely no way Joshua will ever get his memory back!”
“Ha, you really believe that? Nothing in this world is set in stone, the man sneered
He stubbed out his cigar in the ashtray.
Smoke lingered in the air as he stood up and strode over to Noelle, the atmosphere growing tense

She couldn’t ofhard to lose the only lifeline she’d managed to cling to
She was already out of options–if the lost this best lifeline, she’d be completely on her own, with no one left to turn to.
After a long temes moment, Snelle clenched her jaw, weighed her options, and finally wank back onto the couch.
Only then did the man finally speak, a satisfied look on his face,
Just remember we’re both in this for our own reasons. If you screw up my plan, you’re done for he warned.
With those words, he turned and left without another word,
Noelle watched him leave, her gaze downright poisonous.
If she wasn’t on desperate and alone, there’s no way she’d ever be working with some guy she barely knew.
But just dunking about Joshua coming to find her soon made her feel smug and pleased with herself.
He’s definitely into me! Noelle thought, a self–satisfied grin spreading across her face.
After the man walked out of the villa, the driver was waiting and held the car door open for him, all polite and proper.
He dipped right into the back seat, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Once the driver got in, he asked, “Sir, where to now?
His eyes softened as a thought struck him.
She’s landing tonight I need to get ready to welcome her. Let’s head to the mall first,” he said.
Time to get myself sorted out, he thought
The driver nodded, but the gas, and the car quickly disappeared down the road, leaving the villa behind
