Chapter 368
Joshua raised three fingers, swearing with a serious look on his face.
It was like he was trying to show Xylia he was totally sincere.
Xylia looked at him for a moment, then couldn’t help but laugh.
She said, “Joshua, you don’t have to be so serious. I’m not mad because you got involved with Noelle.”
“Then what is it?” Joshua asked.
Xylia looked up at him, her eyes smiling but with a trace of coldness.

She said, “I’m mad because you lied to me, secretly dug into Noelle behind my back, and even used work as a cover to see her on the sly.”
“I get why you might not trust us, since you don’t remember anything from before. But now that we’re married, being upfront with each other is a must.”
“If you have any questions, just come to me. If I don’t want to talk about it, I’ll tell you straight up. But if I do talk, you’ll get nothing but the truth from me.”
“There’s no need to go looking for answers from other people. You might not even get the real story.”
Joshua saw Xylia’s face grow frosty and realized this really mattered to her.
Knowing he’d messed up, he lowered his head and apologized.
“I’m sorry. I won’t do it again,” he said.
Xylia never meant to hold a grudge, and seeing how sincere he was, any leftover anger just vanished.
“Then promise me you’ll tell me everything from now on,” she said.
“Alright, Joshua said.
He gave a gentle nod, like a good boy.
Xylia’s anger melted away.
Xylia kept asking about what went down that morning, and Joshua spilled everything.
After hearing Joshua out, Xylia frowned slightly.
She asked, “From what I know, you didn’t even know Jen before. So why would he help Noelle set you up? Did you two have
some kind of beef?”
Xylia rested her chin on her hand, deep in thought.
Joshua shook his head. “Honestly, I don’t think Jett means any harm toward me.”
“Just because you think he’s harmless doesn’t make it true. You can’t judge people just by instinct alone, Xylia said.
Seeing that Xylia wasn’t buying it, Joshua took her hand.

He said, “Even if I’ve lost my memory, I can still sense whether someone’s got it out for me or not. Jett may have told his bodyguards to rough me up, but I could tell they were holding back. It was like they were deliberately dragging things out, waiting for something to happen.”
Xylia jumped in right after him.
She asked, “I was the only one who went there today. So what do you think he was waiting for?”
Joshua suddenly realized, ‘He was waiting for Xylia!‘
Joshua’s face went completely dark.
He thought, ‘They can do whatever they want to me, but if anyone dares touch Xylia, that’s crossing the line.
He got up to leave, but Xylia stopped him.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“I’m going to find that peacock,” Joshua said.
He thought, ‘I can’t give him even the slightest chance to hurt Xylia.’
Xylia watched him walk away, feeling a bit helpless.
She thought, Jett clearly came prepared. He’s not going to be easy to find.
As soon as Joshua stepped outside, he called David.
“Mr. Garcia, what can I do for you?” David answered.
“I need you to look into someone named Jett. He’s from Marland, originally from Jupiton, and has blue eyes,” Joshua said.
“Got it,” David replied.
As soon as David hung up, he got right to work.
Joshua headed back to the living room, where Xylia was still experimenting with tea brewing.
He walked over and pulled her into his arms.
He said, “We still have no clue what that peacock is really after. For now, you’d better stay home, or if you have to go out, TE send two bodyguards with you–just to be safe.”
Xylia hadn’t heard him say something like that in forever.
It really felt like the old Joshua was back.
She smiled and nodded.
“Got it,” she said.
When Jett arrived at the five–star hotel with his guys, he just waved them off. telling everyone to scalier.
He took the elevator straight up to the top floor.

Chapter 368
At the presidential suite, he didn’t even bother knocking–just swiped his keycard and walked right in.
“Josie, I’m back. Everything’s settled. The rest is up to their luck now,” Jett said, sounding laid–back.
He slouched onto the couch, eyelids drooping, those blue eyes locked right onto the woman in front of him.
Josie poured Jett a glass of water.
“Got it,” she replied.
Her eyes lingered on Jett, conflicted.

Josie wasn’t sure if she was doing the right thing, but she just couldn’t stand the thought of Xylia, that shining star in the fashion world, disappearing from the scene.
She weighed love and family in her mind.
For Josie, nothing–even love or family–could ever outweigh a woman’s career.
I just hope Xylia won’t end up resenting me for this,’ Josie thought to herself.
ett caught the hesitation in Josie’s eyes, straightened up, and said, “Honestly, I don’t think this plan will really break those
wo apart.”
osie gave him a confused look.
ett continued, “Even though Joshua’s lost his memory, he still seems to know exactly who he cares about.
Today, I tried locking Joshua and Noelle in a room together–even tied him up–but things didn’t go the way I expected. Instead, Noelle ended up getting hauled off by the cops.”
Josie already had a pretty good idea of what happened today.
Xylia had gone to see Joshua.
‘Got it,” Josie said.
She stuck to those same three words.
Jett frowned and asked, “What if Xylia still won’t budge? What are you going to do then?”
Josie stayed quiet for a long time before finally sighing.
She said, “What can I even do? If she’s determined to stick to her own path, I can’t force her to change her life. Still. I just can’t let it go
Josie looked utterly defeated.
She kept her head down, her eyes showing a hint of struggle.
But she needed Xylia’s success–her family was on the verge of collapse, and Xylia was their last hope.
Seeing Josie like this, Jett’s heart twisted with sympathy.
