Luke was even more amazed by Seraphina's grace.
This was the confidence of a true partner, something those using underhanded tricks to climb the social ladder could never compare to.
Looking back toward Raelynn with a darkened gaze, an indescribable sense of irritation washed over him.
"Aren't you going to go over and confront her?"
Seraphina's eyes flickered, but she calmly replied, "We're both women, there's no need to make things difficult for each other. Sebastian has me in his heart; naturally, he won't give anyone else an opening."
At that moment.
Luke looked at Seraphina with a newfound sense of admiration.
She truly was the woman Sebastian had chosen.
She was exceptional.
"Mr. Sterling, let's just pretend we didn't see anything. Let's leave her some dignity." Seraphina offered a sweet smile and turned away with elegant grace.
Luke watched her retreating figure.
She was generous, gentle, confident, and refused to be petty.
To think he had previously believed Raelynn was the superior one. He had clearly been blind.
After separating from Sebastian, Raelynn met up with Preston Moreno.
Preston leaned in and whispered, "Looks like your love life is looking up. You should just go date someone. Your soon-to-be ex-husband can't be the only one allowed to have some fun."
Raelynn took a sip of her juice. "Excuse me?"
Preston pointed at Luke, who was chatting with someone nearby.
"Mr. Sterling seems interested in you. Check your phone, he asked me for your number."
"Oh, well, he's got good taste." Raelynn chewed on the fruit pulp, not particularly surprised.
She had plenty of suitors back in school.
Unfortunately, she had been secretly in love with Sebastian back then, and her heart had stubbornly latched onto him.
From her teens to twenty-six, so many years had flashed by.
She hadn't taken any detours in her youth, walking a perfectly straight line right into her own karma.
Preston chuckled at Raelynn's arrogance.
Her personality was actually quite vibrant. Had it not been for the grinding toll of her marriage over the years, she would have always been this radiant.
Raelynn wasn't in a hurry to check her phone.
She had come here for two reasons: to network, and to see if she could find any trace of her family's heirloom in the antique shops.
