Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 101

Oh?

Was he waiting for her?

They were about to get a divorce; spending the holidays with his family was obviously out of the question.

"No, I'm spending it with my grandfather," she refused without a second thought.

"Fine, suit yourself."

Sebastian Croix looked away, not bothering to persuade her. It seemed he had only asked out of mere formality.

Raelynn Ortiz was long used to his indifference. With or without her, it didn't matter to him.

The person who could actually hold Sebastian's patience had never been her.

She continued walking down the corridor.

A museum staff member was pushing a dessert cart in her direction.

Raelynn stepped sideways to avoid it.

Unexpectedly, her foot suddenly slipped on the polished floor.

In a sudden panic, she reached out blindly to grab whatever lifeline she could find.

An arm shot out, catching Raelynn firmly around her slender waist. Finally finding her footing, she grabbed onto the person's collar to steady herself.

The crisp, woodsy scent of his cologne filled her senses.

She looked up.

Sebastian lowered his gaze, staring impassively at her face, which was flushed from the sudden fright.

He didn't push her away.

He simply waited for her to regain her composure.

"Thanks," Raelynn said, a bit flustered.

Next time, she would definitely wear non-slip shoes.

It was a strange position.

Sebastian was leaning against the wall. She had one hand clutching the fabric of his shirt and the other pressed flat against his chest to maintain her balance.

It looked exactly as if she were forcefully throwing herself at him.

"How polite of you." Sebastian's eyes narrowed slightly. He stared at her for a few seconds before letting out a sudden, soft chuckle.

There was an inexplicable undertone to it.

Raelynn frowned.

After all, no woman could remain calm seeing her boyfriend being intimate with someone else.

Seraphina was completely baffled, but she caught a glimpse of the corridor out of the corner of her eye.

She saw exactly what was happening in the depths of the hallway.

The smile on her lips stiffened, a flash of resentment darting through her eyes.

She couldn't believe Raelynn was this shameless. Did she have no sense of boundaries at all?!

Almost on instinct, she wanted to storm over and rip Raelynn away.

"Ms. Vance? Perhaps it's just a misunderstanding." Luke rubbed his forehead, unwilling to let things turn ugly.

Seraphina's expression was anything but pleasant.

However, her reason quickly returned.

Making a huge scene would obviously just backfire on her own reputation.

She pressed her lips together and stayed put. Finally, she offered a small smile. "Thank you, Mr. Sterling. I'm fine."

Luke was somewhat surprised by Seraphina's magnanimity.

Seraphina turned to look at him, shaking her head as if helpless. "With Sebastian's status, I'm not surprised by this kind of thing. There will always be people with ulterior motives. I don't expect them to have any moral compass or sense of decency."
