Raelynn truly had no intention of interfering.
Sebastian's remarriage was an absolute certainty.
Since she no longer had any ties to him, why would she actively seek out a headache?
As the night wore on.
Sebastian never approached their side of the room. Whether he hadn't noticed her, or had noticed and silently agreed to play the role of strangers, neither of them took a single step toward the other.
Raelynn found the arrangement perfectly relaxing. She entirely ignored whatever Sebastian and Zella were doing, intentionally maintaining a wide berth.
The party was mostly filled with the younger elite crowd.
The games were wild, and waves of rowdy cheering echoed through the venue.
Derek returned to stay by Chloe's side, showing zero interest in joining the chaos across the room.
Raelynn felt a spark of interest in the board games.
Just as she was about to drag Chloe and Derek over to a table.
A massive roar of excitement erupted from the center of the room.
The group couldn't help but look over.
Sebastian and Zella had become the center of attention, surrounded by a jeering, laughing crowd.
"Ms. Davenport lost the round! She has to take the penalty! Pick a man in the room and take a shot with your arms linked!"
"Ooooh, who's she gonna pick?"
"Are you stupid? Why even ask? Who else in this room could possibly match Ms. Davenport besides Mr. Croix?"
The enthusiastic chanting grew louder and rowdier by the second.
Zella turned to look at Sebastian, asking for permission with her eyes, but the signal she was sending was aggressively proactive.
Seeing the undeniable chemistry.
The crowd's excitement hit a fever pitch. Anyone with eyes could see that Zella was more than willing to take things to the next level with him.
Raelynn simply stood there, watching in silence.
Chloe, however, lost her mind. She slammed her hand down on the table. "What the hell are they doing? In front of all these people? Have they no shame? They aren't even officially together yet!"
Derek quickly wrapped his hands around hers to soothe the impact. "Since both families intend to unite, it's basically a done deal. They're just waiting to pick a wedding date. Doesn't your hand hurt?"
Chloe had never discussed Raelynn's private life with him before. Looking back and forth between Raelynn and Sebastian, the pieces finally clicked into place.
Suddenly, Sierra marched forward, her face flushed with anger. "But he's your ex-husband! You are standing right here! He should at least have some basic boundaries!"
Chloe stared at Sierra in absolute shock.
Since when was she defending Raelynn?
Summoning her courage, Sierra raised her voice over the rowdy chanting and stared directly at Zella. "Ms. Davenport, are you Mr. Croix's girlfriend?"
Her sudden question.
Acted like a bucket of ice water on the crowd, leaving the room dead silent.
No one had actually confirmed the relationship; they had all just mutually assumed it.
Seeing Sierra's wide, innocent eyes, the crowd assumed she was just asking a naive question. But it successfully made their chanting for an intimate penalty shot feel incredibly inappropriate.
Zella stared at Sierra for a long moment.
Then, without missing a beat, she turned her head to look directly at Sebastian. "Do you want me to be your girlfriend?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
