Raelynn knew exactly how much weight the Longstride Technologies name carried.
They had plenty of heavy hitters on their roster, yet they had been reassigned just to clean up Seraphina Vance's mess...
And when all was said and done, the final results and the primary authorship would still belong to Seraphina.
It was likely because of Raelynn's remark at Longstride about Kingsford University needing to replace their team lead. Sebastian Croix was stepping in to smooth over the crisis for Seraphina, but he was also issuing a silent warning, making sure Raelynn couldn't make things "difficult" for her again.
Raelynn couldn't be bothered to care anymore.
After all, today's submission was just testing data. Seraphina still hadn't finished the crucial pharmaceutical ratios. If she missed the deadline, Raelynn would kick her off the project anyway.
That afternoon.
Raelynn received the finalized schedule for the documentary shoot.
It would be filmed without interfering with their scientific research.
She felt the documentary would be incredibly meaningful and highly educational for the public.

Meanwhile, Seraphina was hooked up to an IV at the hospital.
Leo Flynn had found time to drop by and visit.
"Raelynn really said that to you? I didn't realize she was so full of herself. She got lucky landing a spot at NexusMind Technologies, and now she actually thinks she has a say in how things run?"
She actually threatened to have Seraphina replaced?
Leo couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Who did Raelynn think she was? Did she really believe she could call the shots for Preston Moreno?
If she were some top-tier legend like Faye, maybe she'd have the right to boss people around. But she was just a nobody who had spent a few years grinding at the bottom of the ER.
Seraphina offered a soft smile. "It doesn't matter. My only focus is on my research to benefit millions of patients. If she insists on playing out some dramatic script where two women fight over one man, I simply don't have the time to entertain her."
"That's because you're generous," Leo said casually, grabbing an apple and taking a bite. "Besides, Seb is clearly on your side. The loser doesn't dare throw a tantrum at him, so she resorts to jumping up and down in front of you."
A faint blush immediately colored Seraphina's cheeks.
Leo's words naturally filled her with a thrilling sense of triumph.
She wouldn't stoop so low as to compare herself to a low-level worker who had clawed her way up from nowhere, like Raelynn.
"Look how much Seb cares about you. You skip meals and pull all-nighters, and he takes care of you like this. I've never seen anyone else get that kind of special treatment," Leo teased.
Seraphina's smile widened.
She knew, of course, that she was the exception.
Some people were simply destined to step aside.
