Preston frowned.
Ms. Ortiz?
A seven-year marriage, and all she got was a 'Ms. Ortiz'?
He was actually demanding his wife of many years step aside for his mistress?
Raelynn, however, felt zero emotional turbulence. The hotel belonged to the Croix family. Since brand reputation was on the line, forcing her to compromise to avoid a public scene was simply Sebastian's standard method of problem-solving.
"It's just a room, Raelynn. You really don't need to be so petty about it," Leo said, walking over after finishing his call and offering some patient advice.
Especially at a time like this.
The investigation into Shane's accident was still pending. Shouldn't Raelynn be walking on eggshells, figuring out how to suck up to Seraphina to smooth things over?
A hint of mockery flashed in Raelynn's eyes.
They had completely cornered the conversation.
What else was she supposed to say?
"Give Ms. Ortiz a complimentary upgrade," Sebastian instructed the receptionist mildly. He clearly didn't care what Raelynn thought; asking her earlier was just a polite formality.
The receptionist was stunned.
Upgrading a two-thousand-dollar suite to a tens-of-thousands-dollar Presidential Suite.
This was like dropping a pot of gold from the sky.
Even Seraphina couldn't help but frown.
Not expecting Raelynn to walk away with such a massive perk.
Since Sebastian was willing to burn that much money just to appease Seraphina, Raelynn withdrew her gaze, smoothly grabbed her new key card, and left.
Preston kept up appearances with a polite, smiling nod before hurrying to catch up with Raelynn's brisk pace.
"Stealing it specifically from you. I genuinely suspect Seraphina saw your name on the reservation and demanded that exact room just to spite you," Preston shook his head.
After all, it was a Croix property; Seraphina had all the access she needed to check guest lists.
Raelynn stepped into the elevator and rubbed her temples. "Whatever. Come to my room in a bit. Let's discuss the pros and cons of those Seaport surgical robots we checked out today."
"Sure."
Just as the doors were about to slide shut.
They opened again.
Sebastian and his group were standing right outside.
Leo was the first to step in, striking up a conversation. "Mr. Moreno, I heard NexusMind is running into financing troubles?"
