Why did her grandfather like Sebastian so much?
Even in his dementia, he constantly asked about him.
She had specially prepared some easily digestible, nourishing medicinal soup and brought it to the hospital.
Just as Raelynn reached the floor, she ran into some familiar faces.
Silas Vance was pushing Blanche in a wheelchair.
Blanche seemed to have injured one of her legs and was currently looking for a hospital room.
The sight of them immediately set off alarm bells in Raelynn's head.
This was the exact same floor as her grandfather's room...
Silas spotted Raelynn, his expression instantly growing complicated. "Raelynn? Are you here to see your grandfather?"
Raelynn immediately realized Silas knew Arthur Ortiz was staying here.
Her radiant complexion hardened with frost. "What are you doing here?"
Blanche sneered coldly. "Getting admitted, of course. I just found out your grandfather is right next door. That works out perfectly. Since he's family, and you're hardly ever around, I can help keep an eye on him and show him some care."
Raelynn understood the thinly veiled threat perfectly.
She clenched her fists. "Are you going to request a transfer yourselves, or do I have to make you?"
Back when her mother first fell into a coma, Silas had immediately abandoned them, leaving Raelynn's sick grandfather incapable of caring for her, resulting in her being shipped off to the countryside.
Her grandfather absolutely loathed Silas and Blanche.
And now they wanted to stay next door and 'show him some care'?
Silas looked at her in disappointment. "Raelynn, is that how you speak to Blanche?"
She shot a disapproving look at Raelynn, who was suppressing her anger.
A grown woman causing her parents so much grief in public—how unfilial.
Right then, Seraphina and Sebastian stepped off the elevator.
Raelynn instantly noticed their intimate posture.
A cynical sneer flashed in her eyes.
Her grandfather had stayed here for years, and she had never seen Sebastian visit him unprompted. But the moment Blanche got injured, the 'future son-in-law' was suddenly all hands on deck.
"What's wrong?" Seraphina noticed Raelynn immediately, but she was still harboring resentment over being forced to apologize. Ignoring Raelynn entirely, she naturally linked her arm through Sebastian's and turned to ask the nurse.
The Head Nurse turned around.
Seeing Seraphina clinging to the strikingly handsome man beside her, the nurse immediately connected the dots. She sighed in exasperation. "You're the older sister, right? And you're the brother-in-law? You two need to talk to your sister. Stop her from yelling at her parents in the middle of a hospital."
