"That girl is the little heiress of the Hudson family. They're on par with us—South Hudson, North Croix. She's a lucky child, though I don't know which branch of the Hudson Clan she belongs to."
Seraphina instinctively glanced at Shane.
She would have to warn Shane not to mess with that little girl and risk offending the Hudson Clan.
"I'm not sure."
Sebastian narrowed his eyes slightly.
He had just asked her, but the little girl hadn't given him a single piece of useful information.
She looked young, but her guard was completely up.
Incredibly smart.
Seraphina didn't give someone else's child a second thought.
What did it have to do with them?
Thinking of something else, a bright smile spread across her face as she suddenly asked, "Sebastian, out of the hotels I sent you, did you have a favorite?"
Sebastian thought for a moment. "Just let Quinn handle the arrangements."

"Are you close with that man from earlier?" Lily asked after Raelynn had carried her for a while. She patted Raelynn's shoulder, signaling that she could walk on her own.
Raelynn set her down. "...I suppose."
She genuinely didn't know how to answer that question.
She didn't want to lie to Lily, making her answer sound incredibly strained.
Lily looked thoughtful. "He seemed really curious about me. He even asked about my parents."
A sudden wave of panic rushed over Raelynn.
Because she knew exactly how sharp Sebastian was.
The man only needed a single thread to unravel the entire tapestry.
She hastily grabbed Lily's shoulders. "How did you answer?"
Lily scoffed, her large, beautifully creased eyes shining and the sweet dimples appearing on her cheeks. "I didn't tell him a thing. That's private, and I barely even know him."
The little one looked utterly triumphant.
Raelynn finally let out a heavy sigh of relief.
