At the mention of this, Seraphina raised an eyebrow.
This was exactly what gave her the most satisfaction.
Even though Raelynn nearly got her sued before, at the very least, Raelynn ended up with absolutely nothing. Once NexusMind's drugs hit the market, the other woman could only watch with jealousy.
And now, she was already preparing her robotics project.
What did Raelynn have?
She lost the co-authorship and lacked the actual capability.
No wonder she lashed out in humiliation and anger.
"So, have you decided to invest?" Seraphina looked at Leo.
She knew Leo would definitely back her project.
After all, she was the one who saved Leo's grandfather's life; based on that alone, Leo would support her.
Leo closed the proposal. "I have no problem with it. Your project is way more grounded than NexusMind's pipe dream of breaking technical barriers."
Seraphina's smile deepened as she immediately turned to Julian. "Mr. Yves, what do you think?"
In truth, she wanted Julian's investment the most.
The Yves family's background would serve as a powerful endorsement for her brand.
With Sebastian, Julian, and Leo as investors, her project's starting point would be at a height others couldn't reach in a lifetime.
If it managed to go public, its formidable backing and massive reputation would become the strongest asset on her resume.
When that time came, the National Academy of Traditional Medicine would have no reason to reject her.
Once she entered the Academy, her future would be completely limitless.
Seraphina originally assumed Julian would be just as optimistic and unequivocally supportive as Leo, without any hesitation to invest.
But after she asked, Julian remained silent.
The smile on Seraphina's lips faded slightly. "Mr. Yves?"
Julian finally looked over, snapping out of his daze for a second. "The company will have to run an evaluation through the standard process. If it's a good fit, we'll naturally invest."
It probably wouldn't be long before it bloomed.
She had clearly been overthinking; the tree had been well taken care of and not left to wither.
Just as she was about to head back, she turned around and ran straight into Julian.
Raelynn kept her eyes straight ahead, treating him completely like thin air.
It was Julian who couldn't hold back first. He frowned, turning without hesitation to match her pace, saying as he walked, "Can't you have a little backbone? You got a divorce, so be divorced. Does coming back here begging for scraps do you any good?"
Raelynn frowned.
She ignored him.
But Julian took her silence to mean she was just refusing to listen.
His face grew even colder. "What's the point of coming back so desperately? Sebastian has no feelings for you. All the effort you put into trying to win him back is pointless. Aside from making him look down on you even more, what good does it do?"
Raelynn still ignored him.
Julian felt a sudden, inexplicable surge of anger. "Raelynn, do you have any self-respect at all? Sebastian doesn't love you that much. You're better off just letting him go. He might actually remember it as a favor, which will only benefit you when you're trying to establish yourself out in the real world later."
