Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 284

Raelynn couldn't fathom why Leo had walked over just to snap at her.

She asked bluntly, "Who are you talking about? Who's stealing someone?"

The question caught Leo off guard.

He hadn't expected Raelynn to be so shameless as to keep the topic going instead of shrinking back in embarrassment.

Frowning, he shot a covert glance at Seraphina, completely convinced that Raelynn had no sense of propriety.

Raelynn, of course, understood perfectly well. The one actually lurking in the shadows was right there, but if she pushed the issue, who would dare answer?

If anyone was a thief.

Seraphina was doing it in broad daylight.

Annoyed, Seraphina thought Raelynn was trying to subtly attack her. It was such a petty, underhanded tactic, utterly devoid of class.

She continued to ignore Raelynn and turned to Leo. "This is Mr. Lawson. He's very interested in my Triage Robot project. Leo, would you like to chat with him?"

She was extremely confident about this.

Leo had abandoned NexusMind to invest directly in her project. The Flynn family name carried immense weight, and many investors were eager to follow his lead.

He was a walking billboard for her.

She couldn't be bothered to argue with Raelynn over some petty innuendo.

Julian and Leo were both on her side anyway. Let Raelynn throw whatever tantrums she wanted.

She was busy building her empire, while Raelynn was obsessed with petty jealousy and slacking off. There was no point even engaging with her.

Leo stepped up to the executive.

Sebastian gave Raelynn a tepid glance before turning away to answer a phone call.

He hadn't said a single word to her.

No one in the room could possibly guess that they had been married for seven years.

Preston, having grown up with Raelynn, hated seeing her get walked over. "If only they weren't holding that divorce certificate hostage, and if Lily's situation was resolved, we could expose her as the home-wrecker right now and see who has the last laugh."

But the Croix family was utterly ruthless.

They insisted on dragging this out.

Raelynn wanted to end it too, but she had to stay rational.

She figured she needed to keep pressuring Sebastian. That was the priority.

Across the room, Leo wrapped up his conversation, successfully reeling in a new investor.

Seraphina's smile grew even warmer. "Thank you for looking out for me."

Leo didn't think twice about it. "It's the least I can do. The Flynn family hasn't repaid our debt to you yet. I'll always remember what you did."

Seraphina studied his face carefully.

She tested the waters. "Did your grandfather say anything?"

"About what?" Leo suddenly realized what she meant. "Oh, he did. You probably don't know, but Raelynn tried to take the credit for saving my grandfather. He exposed her. The title of Mrs. Croix means absolutely nothing to him now."

Seraphina's expression shifted slightly.

She glanced at Leo.

She pieced together the details.

Old Mr. Flynn had mistaken her for Mrs. Croix, and Leo assumed Raelynn—the actual Mrs. Croix—had tried to steal the credit...

She didn't correct him.
