Sebastian had heard everything, but he showed no signs of surprise.
He slowly lifted his chin and replied smoothly, "We have plenty of time. There's no rush."
Seraphina instantly understood. He already had a countermeasure in mind.
His single sentence anchored her panic. After all, Sebastian was her absolute safety net and her compass. As long as he was there, nothing was impossible.
Even amidst her mounting anxiety, a wave of affection washed over her, bringing a sweet smile to her lips.
Leo noticed her expression and chuckled.
But he was still baffled by the situation. "We all know how strict the Academy is. Is Director Moreno getting so old he's losing his grip on reality?"
Blatantly pulling strings for his son? Wasn't he afraid of destroying his own reputation?
Sebastian's eyes narrowed slightly. "NexusMind hasn't revealed all their cards yet."
It might not have been Dr. Moreno pulling the strings at all.
That prompted Leo to frown. "There's one more thing. I heard Raelynn is directly involved in NexusMind's brain tumor robot project. They're treating her like royalty over there."
Seraphina's sweet smile vanished in an instant.
But she quickly brushed it off.
"That project's technical barriers guarantee failure. It doesn't matter if she's involved or not."
Integrating traditional acupuncture for precision hemostasis? It was a delusional fantasy.
Even with bottomless funding, it was a lost cause.
Sebastian offered no further comment.
He seemed entirely disinterested in the topic of Raelynn.

For the next few days, Raelynn was running on adrenaline.
She hadn't been back to the marital home in a week.
She practically lived at the office, working side by side with the massive new team.
Mary called her almost every day at the same time, dropping thinly veiled hints that she needed to come home early. Raelynn flatly stated she was busy and wouldn't be back, leaving Mary to hang up in frustration.
As for whether Sebastian went home or not, Raelynn couldn't care less.
With the Academy researchers fully integrated,
Her project was making stellar progress.
She poured her heart and soul into the work.
Family, marriage, cheating husbands, and mistresses—she threw it all to the back of her mind.
