Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 331

Preston frowned at Luke, clearly displeased with him standing so close to Raelynn.

Seraphina's lips were pressed into a tight line. "Everyone knows Faye never makes public appearances. Are you just using her academic standing to suppress a newcomer like me, hoping I'll suffer in silence, Mr. Moreno?"

Raelynn couldn't hold back a scoff.

Elevating herself to a victim again? Claiming everyone was out to get her?

Preston wasn't rushed in the slightest. "You want evidence? Fine, I'll give it to you."

Turning to face the hundreds of attendees in the room, he declared, "I think you all know who my father is. Director of the National Hospital, an academician of the National Academy of Traditional Medicine, and Professor Alistair Finch's chief disciple. Even if you doubt my words, you can't possibly believe my father would make baseless accusations, right?"

Sebastian looked over slowly, waiting for the rest.

Seraphina felt a sudden, inexplicable knot form in her chest. "What do you mean by that?"

Preston's lips curled. "Because Faye is my father's junior disciple. She is Professor Finch's beloved protégé!"

A deathly silence instantly blanketed the hall.

Several faces drained of color.

Everyone present quickly did the math. This situation had just become catastrophically serious.

Seraphina's pupils contracted violently, her lips turning ashen.

She had no idea they were connected like that.

But Preston wasn't finished. He took out his phone and put it on speaker.

Dr. Adrian Moreno's authoritative, unquestionable voice rang through the speakers. "I am incredibly familiar with my junior's work. She prefers not to show her face regarding this stolen patent issue, so I will handle it on her behalf. Ms. Vance, and the Croix family, owe us an explanation."

Dr. Moreno ended the call.

Clean and decisive.

His stance couldn't have been clearer.

The stunned crowd immediately turned to look at the pale Seraphina.

Could it actually be true?

Matilda reacted the fastest. Her expression instantly twisted into a furious scowl, glaring viciously at Seraphina.

This had escalated to a severity she hadn't anticipated.

That was Professor Alistair Finch!

Murmurs were already rippling through the crowd. "If this is true, they've offended the higher-ups. If an investigation proves the future Mrs. Croix really did this, it's over."

"Yeah, this is a full-blown scandal. There's no covering this up."

"Mr. Croix and Ms. Vance were so close to tying the knot, and now this happens. Can they even get married now?"

Raelynn noticed the unfathomable intensity gathering in Sebastian's gaze.

She had no idea what was going through his head.

But she was certain of one thing—his heart must be aching for Seraphina's current predicament, even if she had brought it upon herself.

She met his eyes with unyielding resolve.

Her gaze was sharp and blatantly mocking. She couldn't wait to see how he planned to clean up this absolute disaster for his precious Seraphina.

Holding Raelynn's stare, Sebastian finally moved.

His long legs carried him forward at an unhurried pace. Under the watchful eyes of hundreds, he walked step by step until he stood directly in front of Raelynn.

Without any warning, his long fingers clamped firmly around her wrist. Raelynn's expression shifted, and she instinctively tried to pull away. But he expertly deflected her momentum, pulling her effortlessly against him.

He looked down at her and said with a slow, deliberate drawl, "My wife is Raelynn. So who exactly am I supposed to be marrying?"
