Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 519

Sebastian's dark eyes narrowed as he watched her frantic attempt to hide him from her 'future mother-in-law.'

Raelynn caught the heavy, chilling intensity in his gaze.

But he didn't utter a single word. Completely unbothered by whether Cordelia was still within earshot, he simply turned on his heel, pushed the door open, and strode out.

From the moment he had intimately zipped up her dress to the second he left, their entire exchange had consisted of three words: 'Walked into the wrong room.'

Raelynn had no idea if he went straight to Seraphina's fitting room afterward.

She wasn't sure if Seraphina continued calling for him.

She waited a few agonizing minutes before slowly stepping out.

Cordelia was already waiting in the viewing area.

When she saw Raelynn, her eyes lit up with genuine delight. "Oh, Raelynn, you look absolutely breathtaking. You have such stunning curves and luminous skin. The dress is perfect on you."

As she spoke...

She pulled out her phone and snapped a few quick photos. "Ian definitely needs to see what you look like in a wedding dress."

The comment made Raelynn shift uncomfortably.

This entire marriage was a calculated transaction, a mutual exchange of benefits, not a union built on romance. Having Cordelia act so genuinely thrilled made her feel deeply guilty.

She stood on the pedestal under the warm spotlights.

Casually, she glanced around the sprawling boutique.

Seraphina was nowhere to be seen.

Catching her subtle look, Cordelia offered a knowing smile. "Ms. Vance and Mr. Croix left a while ago."

Raelynn nodded in relief.

Good. Now they wouldn't have to keep playing this exhausting game of chicken.

Cordelia looked down at the photos she had just sent to Ian, then back up at Raelynn. "I heard you never actually had a wedding ceremony before. So you've never worn a wedding dress?"

Raelynn knew Cordelia was fully aware of her past with Sebastian.

She nodded.

Cordelia stepped forward and gently took Raelynn's hands in hers. "He never got to see you in a wedding dress. That is entirely his loss. He knew you were in that fitting room, trying on gowns, and he didn't even have the desire to stay and see how beautiful you looked. He just walked away without a backward glance. Raelynn, it's time to close that chapter for good."
