Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 570

Raelynn rummaged through her bag for her ID.

Ian also needed to present his. He glanced down at Lily, who was sleeping soundly against his chest, and then looked at Julian, the picture of a carefree billionaire heir. "Mr. Yves, hold her for a second."

Julian instinctively looked at Lily's rosy, chubby cheeks.

Before he could even respond, Ian signaled for him to hold out his arms. Out of sheer reflex, Julian did.

Ian gently transferred the sleeping toddler into Julian's embrace.

Julian's entire towering frame stiffened. He stood frozen in the most awkward, inexperienced holding position imaginable. The little girl was a tiny, soft bundle of warmth. The sudden handover made Lily groggily flutter her eyes open.

Julian locked eyes with the sleepy toddler.

He panicked.

He had never taken care of a kid in his life. He subconsciously held his breath, terrified that he had woken her up and she was about to start crying.

But the next second...

Lily, whose little brain clearly hadn't booted up yet, nuzzled deeper into his chest. Her tiny hands grabbed onto his fingers, she smacked her lips a few times, and drifted right back to sleep.

Julian nearly died from the sheer cuteness.

He rarely felt the urge to swear.

Damn.

How did Ian get so lucky to have a daughter like this?

Raelynn finished checking in and walked over to him. "I'll take her."

Julian looked at her, suddenly gripped by a bizarre, inexplicable reluctance to hand the kid back.

But there was no helping it.

He had no relation to this child, and zero right to hold onto her.

He gently passed her back into Raelynn's arms.

Julian turned to the receptionist and, keeping his voice low so as not to wake Lily, instructed, "Put Mr. Hudson on the 31st floor."

Ian glanced over.

Raelynn's room was on the 33rd floor.

Julian was blatantly abusing his power to put as much distance between Ian and Raelynn as possible.

Julian spoke with complete self-righteousness. "I should remind you, Mr. Hudson, your engagement with the Yves family was only recently called off. If you're seen getting cozy with Raelynn right now, the rumor mill will have a field day."
