The guests had the entire first day to themselves.

The Yves family spared no expense in their hospitality. While Lily took her afternoon nap, Raelynn unpacked her bags. Shortly after, the hotel manager knocked on her door.

He spoke to her with utmost respect. "Ms. Ortiz, the hotel is closed to the public today. We've arranged a series of entertainment options for the evening. There will be a welcome dinner at seven o'clock, followed by a pool party on the rooftop terrace, as well as access to private pools. Please feel free to join us at your convenience."

The manager paused, perfectly anticipating her needs. He smiled warmly. "We know you're traveling with your little one. Since many of our guests have flown in with children, the hotel has set up a dedicated play area. You won't have to worry about keeping her entertained."

Raelynn hadn't expected them to be so thorough.

She knew this luxury hotel was managed by Julian. It was famous nationwide, and the Yves family had clearly pulled out all the stops for this event.

"Thank you. That sounds wonderful."

After seeing the manager out, Raelynn received a text from Ian.

He had to head back to the Hudson ancestral estate to handle some business.

The Hudson family's main base of operations was right here in Seaport City, and their sprawling estate was situated on a secluded, privately-owned mountain, quite a distance from the downtown area.

Raelynn texted back: 'Understood. Take care of your work.'

Lily slept all the way until five in the afternoon.

After washing up and getting dressed, it was getting late.

Raelynn planned to take Lily downstairs for a quick bite before heading over to the welcome dinner.

But they had barely reached the elevator banks when she heard footsteps behind them.

A tall, broad-shouldered figure stepped up beside them.

The familiar, crisp scent of cedar washed over her. Raelynn turned her head and, sure enough, saw Sebastian standing there in a crisp white dress shirt and dark slacks. He glanced over at them.

Raelynn had found her peace with the past. She looked at him directly and said, "Lily, say hello to the nice man."

Lily tilted her little head up. "Hello, Mister."

An unreadable emotion flickered in Sebastian's eyes.

The elevator chimed and opened.

Raelynn guided Lily inside.
