Watching him casually walk away, Raelynn let out a frustrated laugh. Her heels clicked sharply against the floor as she marched after him. "Are you deaf, Sebastian?"
She was already exhausted from having to play nice with his toxic family all night.
His blatant arrogance was just pushing her over the edge.
Sebastian slowed his pace and turned slightly. "Am I delaying your plans?"
Raelynn wasn't about to play games with him. "We've been divorced for a while now. What, did you dump your little girlfriend tonight and suddenly remember I exist? Wasn't your performance at dinner enough?"
He was absolutely baffling.
He had acted the part of the doting husband at the table to squash any gossip.
But there was no audience out here. Driving her home was completely unnecessary.
Sebastian gave her a cool look, entirely ignoring the comment about his girlfriend. "You're not a very good ex-wife. I'm handing you the perfect opportunity to kick me while I'm down, and you won't even take it."
It sounded like he was calling her stupid.
Raelynn crossed her arms, flashing a razor-sharp smile. "Your girlfriend got knocked up by another man. I get that you're probably feeling a little emotional right now, but I'm not here to comfort you. That's not my job anymore. Go pay a shrink three grand an hour if you want to talk about your feelings."
Truthfully, tonight's events had been horrifying to witness.
Seraphina's dirty laundry alone was mind-blowing.
And clearly, Sebastian and Seraphina had hit a massive wall. Tonight had basically been their grand, public breakup.
Part of her wanted to laugh and call it karma.
But gloating would make it seem like she still cared. She refused to waste her breath and stroke his ego.
Sebastian came to a complete stop.
He met her gaze directly. "Thanks for the advice. You seem to know the going rates pretty well. Speaking from experience? Feel free to refer me to yours."
Raelynn furrowed her brow.
She stared at him for a long moment, lips pressed into a tight line.
Finally, she concluded that the man was an absolute psycho.
The crisis at Croix Holdings was more than enough for him to handle.
Sebastian watched her intently. "Are you worried about me?"
Raelynn choked on her next breath. She instantly regretted saying anything at all.
Deciding to ignore the bait entirely, she laid it out straight.
"I never relied on you in the past, so we never built any foundation of attachment. And I certainly don't need you now. When I go home, who I see, how I get there—you never cared before, and it's definitely none of your business now," she stated firmly.
Her tone had shifted from sarcastic to dead serious.
It was a hard, unmistakable rejection.
The corner of Sebastian's mouth twitched. "Fine."
Raelynn turned on her heel, ready to leave.
But after taking two steps, she paused and glanced over her shoulder. "We already finalized the divorce. Has your grandfather confirmed it yet?"

No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
