Nobody expected Zella Davenport to be so direct.
She was waiting for Sebastian Croix to give her an answer.
She showed absolutely no intention of letting Sierra Yves's inappropriate interruption end the drama.
It was obvious to everyone that Zella was a woman of decisive action.
She pushed forward fearlessly, never one to shrink back or retreat.
Sebastian remained indifferent, barely lifting his gaze.
He didn't respond immediately.
Sierra glanced at him before pressing on, "Ms. Davenport, in matters like this, the man really should be the one taking the initiative."
If Sebastian wasn't going to make a move, then what was the point?
In her mind, it was simple.
With a personality as cold as his, Sebastian wasn't the type to lay his heart bare for a woman he had just met, let alone confess his feelings right out of the gate.
Chloe Hudson was taken aback by the audacity.
She shot Sierra a look, then turned to Raelynn Ortiz. "Your new stepsister is a bit too naive for her own good. Sure, her questions match her young age, but honestly, she's backing Sebastian and Zella into a corner."
And she was right.
The atmosphere had shifted entirely.
Raelynn glanced at Sierra but remained silent.
Zella narrowed her eyes at the younger woman, though Sierra's face remained a mask of flawless, wide-eyed innocence.
"Ms. Davenport is such an exceptional woman. Why wouldn't Mr. Croix be interested?" someone chimed in, trying to smooth over the awkwardness.
Raelynn silently agreed; it was a perfectly logical assumption.
She looked up to see who had spoken.
The voice belonged to someone standing directly behind Sebastian.
By sheer coincidence, as she looked over, her gaze collided straight with the man's dark, bottomless eyes.
She froze.
Instinctively, she averted her eyes and turned back to her slice of cake.
Sebastian didn't look surprised.
He watched Raelynn detach herself from the situation, acting like nothing more than a casual spectator.
"What do you think?" Zella asked him.

No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
