Zella spotted Raelynn first.
Her heels clicked against the marble floor as she turned. Her gaze swept past Ian before she casually greeted Raelynn, "What a coincidence. Do you live here?"
Raelynn hadn't expected to run into her.
"No, just looking at properties today."
"A marital home?" Zella guessed immediately, shifting her attention to Ian. "Mr. Hudson. It's been a while."
She had met Ian in passing before.
They were at least acquainted.
Ian offered a polite nod. "Ms. Davenport."
Raelynn wasn't surprised they knew each other. High society was a small, insular circle. People in their tax bracket had countless opportunities to cross paths and exchange business cards.
"So, are you house-hunting for the wedding?" Zella pressed, clearly intrigued.
Raelynn hesitated.
Ian answered for her. "Yes. The real estate here is quite impressive."
Zella arched an eyebrow. "Well, it seems your taste aligns perfectly with Sebastian's. He recommended I live here, too. I just closed on a place yesterday on the 33rd floor. What about you two?"
Sebastian—
Raelynn caught the casual familiarity in Zella's tone.
It sounded like they had hit it off and grown quite close.
Raelynn looked at Ian.
"The 32nd floor," Ian replied evenly.
Raelynn remained silent.
That settled it.
No matter how spectacular this condo was, she wasn't going to live here.
With Zella right upstairs, Sebastian would inevitably be visiting all the time. The sheer awkwardness of that scenario was out of the question.
She despised unnecessary drama.
And she had zero desire to run into him on a regular basis.
"Well, that might be a little awkward," Zella said, not bothering to sugarcoat it. She looked directly at Raelynn. "Living right on top of each other... I don't mind, but what about you and Sebastian?"
Raelynn met her gaze coolly. "What about me and him? Do you think we're going to rekindle some old flame?"
Zella's eyes narrowed slightly.
Then, she let out a soft laugh. "Raelynn, I really find you fascinating."

No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
