His words made Raelynn's mind completely blank for a second.
She snapped her head up in shock.
Sebastian watched every micro-expression on her face, his tone remaining infuriatingly steady. "The Hudson family waters are deeper than you realize. If you're not absolutely certain you can rely on him, you need to secure your daughter's legal guardianship first. Take her out of the equation before you make any other moves. That way, you won't end up losing everything."
Raelynn's breathing grew erratic.
Her chest heaved. "Who are you to say something like this to me?"
"Seven years ago." Sebastian's voice slowed down a fraction. "The divorce agreement you signed proved you believed our marriage would eventually end. Under those circumstances... even if you had gotten pregnant with my child, wouldn't you have hidden it out of fear that you wouldn't be able to take the baby with you?"
He phrased it as a question.
But Raelynn heard the absolute, terrifying certainty beneath it.
Her fingers turned to ice, and she had to dig her nails into her palms just to maintain a grip on her sanity. "What are you getting at?"
"I've always felt that taking your word for it wasn't enough," he murmured, his eyes dropping slightly. "Lily was born during our marriage. Regardless of what's going on between you and Ian, it's perfectly reasonable for me to have my suspicions. Even if Lily is my daughter, I wouldn't find it impossible."
"You..."
Raelynn's pupils constricted.
His terrifying intellect and sharp instincts sent a wave of sheer panic washing over her.
She fought back instinctively. "Sebastian, you are out of your mind!"
"Then consider me out of my mind." He reached out, his hand gripping her trembling shoulder. "Sunny, what are you so afraid of?"
In that instant, she understood.
Once a man like Sebastian locked onto something, it was nearly impossible to escape his grasp. No matter what she said now, he wouldn't listen.
She clenched her fists tightly, forcing herself to meet his dark, predatory gaze, and let out a sudden, cold laugh.
"Mr. Croix, listen to me very carefully. My daughter's last name is Hudson. Not Croix!"

No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...

I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
