This was clearly a private matter for the Yves family.
Sebastian Croix originally had no intention of interfering. He had remained an observer the entire time, but his calm, unwavering voice now carried a terrifying ruthlessness.
Raelynn Ortiz stared intently at Sebastian.
The emotions she had been holding back were on the verge of erupting.
"What are you getting at?" Julian ground out through clenched teeth.
"Mr. Croix, you and Raelynn are already divorced. Do you really need to get involved in the Yves family's drama?" Sylvia Dalton caught her breath, inhaling deeply as she forced her chaotic emotions under control.
Sierra's identity had been exposed right when she was injured.
Now that Quentin Yves knew the hidden truth, the guilt in his eyes had vanished, replaced entirely by disgust and hatred. He would never forgive her. He would completely cut ties with her, banishing her from his life forever. The thought brought her an agonizing wave of despair.
This secret was supposed to be buried for a lifetime.
But now, her own daughter had actively torn away her protection and pushed her off a cliff.
"Are you a member of the Yves family?" Sebastian cast a cold glance her way.
His tone was icy and mocking.
"Young Mr. Croix, just say what you need to say," Dr. Evelyn Hayes said. She had a terrible headache but fought through the discomfort, sitting perfectly upright.
"I believe Chairwoman Hayes and Mr. Yves should meet Raelynn's mother, Rowan," Sebastian replied.
As Sebastian finished speaking, the atmosphere shifted.
Sylvia's expression changed drastically.
Her pitiful, trembling facade completely froze.
She could guess exactly how this situation would play out.
She blurted out instinctively, "Why do you need to see her? She and Lydia were practically the same person. Other than Lydia, she is the one who hates me the most! She—"
"I do hate you."
Rowan's voice suddenly rang out from the doorway.
Sierra's eyes widened in shock.
She was utterly stunned.
Quentin, meanwhile, was filled with sheer disbelief. "What... did you just say?"
"You're lying! Rowan, just to get revenge for Lydia, why would you frame me like this?!" Sylvia's composure finally snapped, and she screamed out of control.
Raelynn's ears rang. The blood froze in her veins as she forgot how to react.
She almost missed hearing this even more cruel, hidden truth.
Chloe immediately noticed Raelynn's distress and rushed forward to wrap an arm around her for support.
"The day Lydia died, she was supposed to negotiate a project," Rowan began, her emotions running high. "She called me right before she left. She was planning to buy a house, to build a good life for little Sunny. She even asked me to help her pick out a neighborhood. Yet, just two hours later, she supposedly drove her car into a lake and committed suicide!"
Rowan had been bedridden for far too many years, making her highly agitated.
She spoke with such force that the veins in her neck bulged. Filled with hatred, she continued, "I remember everything now! I remember it all! A woman who had made up her mind to start over with her child—how could she just suddenly end her own life?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
