Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 905

Professor Robert had no objections. In fact, he was more than happy to oblige.

"Come with me." He walked behind his desk and pulled out a stack of medical reports as thick as several textbooks. "This is only a fraction of it. Over the years, he's undergone countless examinations, follow-ups, and treatments. I'll show you the medications he's been on too, but..."

Professor Robert looked at Raelynn.

She had already walked over, her eyes lowered as she flipped through the pages.

Her face was unreadable as she meticulously examined every single sheet.

"Eliot's condition is extremely critical now," Professor Robert said. "Over the past year, he's been pushing himself relentlessly while completely neglecting his treatment. If he doesn't have the surgery, he's just waiting to die. It's actually even more dangerous than that—his body could shut down at any moment. We can't give an exact timeframe, but at most, he has less than two months."

Two months...

Raelynn's hand froze over the medical records.

Her fingers unconsciously tightened, crinkling the thin paper.

"In all likelihood, his vision has already started to blur. The pressure on his brain is too severe; going blind is only a matter of time," Professor Robert explained. "But I need you to understand one crucial detail. Eliot suffers from a severe blood clotting disorder, a direct result of the chronic poisoning he endured back then. Poor coagulation severely limits our surgical options. Refusing surgery means death, but going under the knife means he could easily bleed out on the table. That's one of the primary reasons we haven't operated, and why we've been stuck at an impasse for all these years."

They were the absolute best oncology team in the world.

Yet, even they were paralyzed by this impossible dilemma.

"It's that bad?" Zella gasped, visibly stunned.

"That's just telling him straight to his face that no matter what he does, he's a dead man," she said, shaking her head in disbelief. "That's beyond cruel."

Especially for a man as proud and powerful as him.

Dying on the operating table, or surviving only to be left paralyzed, mute, and blind—how could he ever accept a fate like that?

She stared at the medical records so intensely it was as if she were trying to burn the words into her retinas.

After a long stretch of silence, her voice broke through, raspy but steady. "Professor Robert, I need you to convene his medical team. I want us to hold a board meeting first. We need to brainstorm every possible countermeasure and finalize the most viable surgical strategy."

The surgical plan was the absolute key to everything.

Especially for a major, highly complex operation involving a malignant tumor and a severe bleeding disorder.

Zella froze, staring at her in utter disbelief. "You're not going to look for him first? Aren't you frantic right now?"

In a crisis like this, wasn't finding him the absolute top priority?

Raelynn turned her back to the other woman, her arms tightening around the terrifyingly thick stack of medical files. "Finding him right now won't change a thing. If we can't nail down a surgical plan, bringing him back just means watching him waste away."

Zella watched Raelynn's almost supernatural composure, feeling a profound shock ripple through her.
