"You're… back?" Renee stared at Giselle with a mixture of hatred and helplessness. Her voice was hoarse as she said, "So, you really survived. You sure are hard to get rid of."
Giselle scoffed. "That's right. As long as my grandparents are watching over me, I'll never die! I told you karma takes its time, Renee. It looks like karma finally caught up to you."
Renee was rendered speechless. She didn't even have the strength to argue back.
Vivienne was about to hold her son when Renee snapped again. Her face twisted into something cold and harsh as she stopped her. "What do you think you're doing? I already paid you to stay away from this boy! What do you not understand?"
"Please, Ms. Moore. He's my baby, and he suddenly fell severely ill. How am I supposed to just ignore him?" Vivienne pleaded.
"Get out of my face!" Renee looked unstable as she scooped the baby up into her arms and muttered to herself, "He's all I have left. I won't let anyone take him from me. No one's allowed to touch him! Now, get out, all of you!"
Noticing Renee acting like a complete lunatic, Vivienne turned to Tony for help.
However, there was nothing left between Tony and Renee as a married couple ages ago. Plus, he had always devoted himself to his job. He had no idea how to calm Renee down, either, so he could only sigh.
Giselle, on the other hand, couldn't stand it any longer. Her temper flared, and she snatched the baby out of Renee's arms. Then, she handed him to Vivienne and reprimanded Renee, "Can't you do the right thing for once, Renee? He's a newborn. He needs his mother, and he needs breast milk, yet you separated them for your own selfish reasons. Do you honestly think that's healthy for him?
"Vivienne is the greatest favor you'll ever receive in your life. If you have even half a conscience, you should be raising this child with her!"
Right after saying all that, Giselle couldn't stand the sight of Renee any longer. Afraid she might have an episode and embarrass herself in front of Renee, she turned around and stormed out of the ward.
"What the hell do you want? Spit it out! And don't touch me."
Renee's eyes brimmed with tears. She wiped them away with the back of her hand and said hoarsely, "I want you to ask Donovan where he hid Anne."
"You must be out of your bloody mind!" Giselle scoffed. "What does your daughter's disappearance have to do with my husband? My husband has enough on his plate. He doesn't have time for this nonsense!
"If you're sick in the head, ask Tony to fix you up. Quit pointing fingers at everyone you see!"
With that, she ripped her hand out of Renee's grasp and stormed toward the escalator.
