Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 734

Once the dog had fled, Chris immediately turned around to help Giselle up from the ground. When he saw the scratches on her arms and legs, his expression tightened with anxiety. "Are you badly hurt? I'll take you to the hospital right now!"

Still shaken, Giselle touched her belly and clearly felt something was off. Panic surged through her as she hurriedly lowered her head to look between her legs.

Thankfully, she didn't see any blood. She just felt an unsettling discomfort. She didn't dare think more and urged anxiously, "Hurry, take me to the nearest hospital right now!"

"Okay."

Chris asked again, "Can you walk, or should I carry you to the car?"

"No need, I can walk by myself."

Even so, Chris supported her as they headed toward the main road by the exit where the car was parked.

Meanwhile, Nora, who'd been chased by the vicious dog earlier, was climbing down from a large tree nearby. After being bitten, she had broken free and, in a panic, scrambled up the trunk, escaping by a hair.

"What on earth happened?" Jeffrey, who had just gone out to deal with the car accident, rushed back when he heard the commotion. He was puzzled to see the bloodstains on them and Nora's terrified expression.

Nora, on the verge of tears, quickly recounted the whole incident to Jeffrey.

"How could those dogs show up here?" Jeffrey muttered in disbelief. Seeing the blood and the bite marks on them, the true severity of the situation crashed down on him. "Impossible. There have never been any cats or dogs on my plantation, let alone a violent breed like that."

Nora reminded him, "Mr. Colt, should we call the police? It was really terrifying just now. If it weren't for that tree, I might've been mauled to death! And Ms. Holt, too—it was incredibly dangerous! We don't even know who owns the dogs. We must report it and have the police investigate."

Seeing the logic in that, Jeffrey immediately pulled out his phone and dialed the police.
