Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 102

For a man of Ethan's stature, the high court wouldn't make an arrest based on mere suspicion. This meant the charges against him were essentially proven.

The news sent shockwaves through Athelvia. Faced with public outrage, the Montclair family was so terrified they didn't dare leave their homes, living each day in a state of anxiety.

After watching the political news, Bianca Whitmore immediately rushed to Northwing Court to find Vivienne. But the two barely spoke. Vivienne was sunbathing with Little Stray in the sunroom, so Bianca just pulled up a chair, propped her chin in her hands, and watched her without moving.

The old man passed the sunroom several times, and each time he was completely bewildered. When he asked Cedric about it, Cedric could only shake his head, admitting he didn't understand either.

The next day.

“Vivienne! Vivienne!”

The old man was trimming branches on the veranda. His hand shook, and with a snap, he accidentally cut off a main branch.

“Vivienne!!!” Bianca shrieked, bursting into Northwing Court like a whirlwind.

Vivienne had been dozing under a flower trellis, basking in the sun. She was startled awake.

She rubbed her ear as if she’d misheard and patted her equally startled turtle. “What the—”

Before she could finish, Bianca threw her arms around her in an excited hug. “His numbers are climbing! They’re really climbing!”

After Ethan's downfall, the public in Athelvia had grown deeply mistrustful of the powerful family conglomerates. In this climate, Adrian Markell's grassroots background stood out. In just two days, his approval ratings had been skyrocketing.

No one could understand what Bianca was feeling at that moment.

It was like being forced onto a high wire without a single day of practice. She could only move forward, terrified that one wrong step would lead to ruin.

Bianca was trembling, her voice choked with emotion. “That scared me so much. It really scared me so much! Waaaah…”

Vivienne hesitated, then reached out and gave her a stiff, comforting squeeze on the shoulder. “Don’t worry. They’ll go up even more.”

They hugged?

Bianca was somewhat distracted, her eyes fixed on the main gate.

Talia was at a loss. She turned to Benedict. “Weren't we supposed to leave at nine? Why isn't the little one out yet?”

Benedict checked his watch. “I'll go see.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Bianca ran forward and grabbed Benedict. “Uncle Benedict, wait! Vivienne will come out when she's ready.”

“Hey!” Caught off guard, Benedict nearly had his pants pulled down. He clutched his waistband, his face darkening. “Let go.”

Bianca shook her head. “No. Don't go. This is Vivienne's first time traveling far, too. What's wrong with letting her say a proper goodbye to Grandpa? Even a kid like me can wait, so what's your hurry?”

“What?” Benedict was baffled. He looked at Talia, then at the suddenly ferocious child before him. “You’re actually trying to strip me just to keep me here?”

Bianca nodded. “Yeah. Is there a problem?”

He was speechless.
