Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 104

Benedict flinched slightly, cautiously watching the two in the rearview mirror. Bianca had a notoriously short fuse. With just the three of them in the car, things could get ugly if a fight broke out.

“Sleeping?” Bianca looked around, then pressed a button on the seat. The sunshade slowly rose.

Vivienne had told her yesterday that predicting the future was draining, so she needed to rest as much as possible when she had the chance.

Bianca understood. Greatness required sacrifice, after all.

She was bearing a heavy burden.

The air conditioning was switched to silent mode, and the vents were redirected. Bianca quietly settled back into her seat and carefully pulled a graphic novel from another bag.

Fate was a tricky thing. She couldn't rely on Vivienne for everything; she had to do her own homework.

Benedict’s mouth twitched. “Bianca, you should rest too. Reading in the car can make you sick.”

Bianca's expression was serious. “There’s no time. I still have so many books to read.”

Cedric, seeing the large bag of books in the rearview mirror, was speechless. Seriously, who packed so many novels and comics for her?

Then again, if she planned to finish all of them on the way to Alderwick, she was indeed on a tight schedule.

Benedict didn't press the issue and focused on driving.

Just then, a black and gold Cullinan approached from the opposite direction. Benedict glanced at the license plate and gave a customary honk.

The other car recognized him and honked twice in response.

Leander Ravenshire had put down his phone, his gaze thoughtfully fixed on the receding convoy in the rearview mirror. “Was that Ben just now?”

The driver nodded. “Yes, it was Mr. Benedict.”

Leander then remembered that Benedict was scheduled to leave for Alderwick today. After a brief pause, he turned to the teenager in the back seat. “Did you hear what I said? When you see the old man, you'd better lose that wild streak of yours.”

Julian Ravenshire was playing a game on his phone and showed no reaction to Leander's lecture.

Leander continued, unfazed. “I hear the old man has been showing unusual favor to Cyril lately. It’s one thing if you can't win against Alaric, but surely you won't lose to an illegitimate son who just appeared out of nowhere, will you?”

Julian's fingers paused. He looked up with a sneer. “You’ve got it wrong. It's not that I can't win against Alaric Ravenshire; it's that you can't win against his father. Oh, my mistake. You can't even measure up to that illegitimate son's father.”

Leander was left speechless.
