Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 110

“Dinosaur! Control freak!”

Bianca was still grumbling as she left the main hall. After complaining the whole way back without a single response from Vivienne, she became a little annoyed. “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Vivienne glanced at her. “Say what? That it’s better to be like your grandpa Frederick? The one who applauded when you swiped desserts from the table?”

Bianca was rendered speechless, unsure how to respond.

Old habits die hard. Bianca had been raised without discipline for twelve years, and her bad habits wouldn’t be corrected overnight.

The fact that she had agreed to learn the rules in the main hall was already a huge step forward. After all, in her past life, Bianca had opposed Vivienne in everything except for one thing: their mutual resistance to elder Mrs. Crowhurst.

Bianca realized she might have messed something up. She didn’t care what elder Mrs. Crowhurst thought of her, but she didn’t want to disappoint Vivienne.

When they returned to their room, Bianca kept sneaking glances at Vivienne’s expression. She wanted to say something several times but swallowed her words, unaccustomed to admitting fault.

Just as she finally worked up the courage, Tessa suddenly appeared, saying that Talia was on the phone.

Vivienne and Bianca were nominally at the estate to reflect on their behavior, so they hadn't brought their phones. Bianca hesitated for a moment before following Tessa out to take the call.

“Mom.”

She had barely spoken when Talia laid into her. “Bianca, are you looking for trouble again? What did I tell you before you left? Let me tell you, if you upset your great-grandmother and something happens to her, I’ll send you right back to the Whitmores!”

Bianca was exasperated. “What, do you have a tracker on me? Or did the old fossil tattle already? This literally just happened, how do you already know?”

Talia’s head throbbed with frustration from her daughter’s attitude, but she held back her anger and continued to lecture her.

Vivienne was sitting on her bed reading a comic. Seeing her come in, she greeted her. “Finished with your call?”

“Yup.” Bianca scratched her head, pacing restlessly in front of her bed. “I… I think I saw Ms. Voss come in earlier. Did your mom call too?”

Vivienne nodded. “Yeah. Marissa said she called a few times, but I didn’t answer.”

Bianca froze. “You didn’t answer?”

Vivienne looked up at her. “Is that strange?” She closed the comic book and gave a lazy yawn. “I’m going to sleep. Remember to turn off the light later.”

“Oh.” Bianca thoughtfully returned to her own bed, staring at Vivienne’s back as she lay down.
