Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 118

But elder Mrs. Crowhurst’s condition was that they had to convince the teacher to come back. With no other choice, Bianca tried showering him with praise.

When it was clear Mr. Marsh remained unmoved, Bianca’s embarrassment turned to rage. She jabbed a finger at his nose and snapped, "Old man, don't push your luck! Do you have any idea who my grandfather is?"

Vivienne was speechless.

A minute later, they were thrown out of the house.

The sun beat down, so hot it felt like their souls were being baked out of their bodies.

Bianca quietly opened her parasol. "If I said that wasn't on purpose, would you believe me?"

Vivienne glanced at her. "Let's go. If we don't leave now, we'll—"

Before she could finish, several barks erupted from the yard.

They turned to see a large dog, Barley, snarling as it lunged toward them.

A stocky little boy chased after it, yelling, "Barley, get them! They're bad people who bullied my grandpa!"

Vivienne and Bianca exchanged a look. One closed the umbrella, the other scooped up Little Stray, and they both turned and ran for their lives.

The next day.

Bianca, looking solemn, carried bags of ginseng and rare mushrooms in one hand and a selection of fine teas and liquors in the other.

Vivienne asked, "Do you remember the key points we rehearsed before leaving?"

Bianca nodded. "No losing my temper, no personal attacks, be sincere! And absolutely no talking back!"

Vivienne said, "Go on, knock on the door."

Bianca took a deep breath. She went to raise her hand, but realizing both were full, she instinctively lifted her foot.

Mr. Marsh had already seen them on his video doorbell. Watching them hesitate by the gate, too afraid to enter, he felt a pang of pity.

What was the point of holding a grudge against a child?

The moment Bianca lifted her leg, the door swung open. The intended kick at the door landed squarely in Mr. Marsh's crotch. His eyes looked ready to pop from their sockets as he clutched his crotch and crumpled to the ground in agony.

"Why is apologizing so hard?"

Vivienne poured her a glass of water. "Are you going again tomorrow?"

Bianca blinked, looking up at Vivienne.

Barley had chased them all the way back. They had run back in the hundred-degree heat and were completely exhausted. Vivienne had it worse than she did; her rosy cheeks were peeling from the sun.

"You're still willing to go with me?"

Vivienne smiled. "Of course."

Bianca's heart skipped a beat. The sparkling eyes before her were full of starlight, brighter than the Milky Way on a midsummer night.

She smiled back, her spirits suddenly lifting. "Okay, here's the plan. Tomorrow, I'll have Tessa prepare some ham. When Barley comes, I'll create a diversion. First, I'll…"

Vivienne listened intently, her gaze gently falling on the top of Bianca's head.

The character tags 'Stupid' and 'Impulsive' were now a whole size smaller than before.
