After three days of recovery in the hospital, Vivienne was finally discharged.
Bianca’s condition was more serious than hers. It was a gunshot wound, and although it hadn’t hit any vital organs, Talia insisted she stay a few more days for observation just to be safe.
Caspian had been busy personally mentoring his young grandsons these past few days, so the task of picking Vivienne up fell to Cedric.
Returning to Obsidian Estate after two months away, Vivienne was filled with a mix of complicated feelings. Just as she was about to head back to Northwing Court to rest, Cedric informed her that Vellmont Lodge had been prepared for her. In other words, it was time for her to move.
But on second thought, she would be fourteen in two months. Continuing to live in Northwing Court would indeed be a source of gossip, so Vivienne didn't mind.
Vellmont Lodge was just as it had always been, as beautiful as a fairytale princess’s dream. Apart from Marissa, the staff in the garden were all new faces.
Cedric saw Vivienne to Vellmont Lodge and then took his leave.
As soon as Vivienne entered the house, Marissa came forward to greet her.
“Miss Lexton, welcome home. I’ve prepared an herbal bath for you. Would you like to soak now?”
In just a few days, Marissa had managed to get the estate’s affairs in perfect order.
Vivienne shook her head. She didn't feel like doing anything right now; she just wanted to lie down.
Having been with Vivienne for two months, Marissa had already figured out her temperament. She knew that when Vivienne was feeling lazy, she loved to just lie down. So, she smiled and said, “In that case, I’ll keep the water warm. You can take a bath after dinner tonight?”
Vivienne nodded. As she started up the stairs, a thought struck her. She paused and looked back at Marissa.
“I saw construction in the central courtyard when I was coming back. What’s going on?”
“Oh, Mr. Alaric has moved back to Wolfram Manor,” Marissa replied. “The master had the northwestern building expanded for Wolfram Manor.”
In her past life, Alaric lived in the northwest Wolfram Manor, Cyril in the southeast Blackbriar Wing, and Julian in the diagonally opposite Silvercrest Hall, leaving her stuck right in the middle.
The plot was progressing as expected, so it would likely be the same this time.
Vivienne frowned, a little displeased, but said nothing more.

A nightmare plagued her sleep.
By the time Vivienne woke up again, the sky was already dark.
Marissa nodded. “The master came to Vellmont Lodge this afternoon, probably to say goodbye in person, but he left when he heard you were sleeping.”
Vivienne listlessly rubbed her temples.
Fine. Now that she was back, she couldn't rush things. What happened with Bianca was the best lesson.
She had already given all the warnings she could at the hospital. The old man had even mentioned transferring shares, so Leander’s side shouldn’t cause any more trouble.
“Miss Lexton?” Seeing her looking down without a word, Marissa thought she was upset about her grandfather leaving without saying goodbye and quickly tried to comfort her. “The master said he’d only be gone for three days. Three days will pass quickly.”
Vivienne didn’t explain, simply nodding. “I know.”

Time flew by, and soon it was the third day.
As evening fell, Caspian returned.
Not long after Caspian’s arrival, the rest of the Ravenshire family also arrived. Even Bianca was discharged early. The maids and servants in the main hall bustled in and out, creating a lively scene.
