"Julian!"
Bianca Whitmore and Aurelia Ravenshire's eyes lit up simultaneously.
"Julian Ravenshire?" Bernard Whitmore was dazed from the kick. By the time he registered what happened, he felt like his tailbone was shattered. The pain contorted his features as his entire body spasmed. "You son of a bitch, you despicable... Ah!"
Julian lazily planted his foot right on Bernard's backside.
"Ah! It hurts! God, it hurts..." Bernard gasped, nearly passing out from the agony.
Worried things would escalate into a tragedy, Ms. Quinn hurried forward to intervene. "That's enough, Julian. If you keep going, you're going to kill him."
Julian shrugged, playing the picture of reason. "Fine, consider this my respect for the teachers." With that, he stepped right over Bernard's back and kept walking.
"Argh!" Bernard's agonized scream easily drowned out the weeping inside the small room.
Ms. Quinn was left speechless.
The teenager strolled casually to the hospital bed, his gaze drifting between Bianca and Vivienne Lexton before finally landing on the top of Vivienne's head. "Let's go. Didn't you say you needed emergency treatment? Who's going to take responsibility if your condition worsens?"
Vivienne blinked, caught off guard. Was Julian actually... helping her?
Bianca's eyes sparkled as she nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, exactly! If we delay any longer, her wounds are going to heal. Who's going to take responsibility for that?"
Aurelia looked bewildered. "Julian, the school has already formed an investigation committee for this incident, and both families have been notified. Vivienne didn't even..." She paused, hesitating for a moment before righteously declaring, "You can't take her away right now."
Bianca had never liked Aurelia, mostly because she always loved taking the moral high ground to judge others. Today, however, that dislike morphed into pure disgust.
"You..."
Before Bianca could finish, Julian beat her to the punch. "If there's something wrong with your head, go see a doctor. We happen to be heading to the hospital. Want to tag along?"
Vivienne froze, her eyes widening in shock as she stared up at him.
Julian looked slightly repulsed. He pressed her head down against his shoulder, his tone as lazy and irritating as ever. "Don't get any ideas. I didn't want to carry you either, but I lost the bet." He added indignantly, "If I had known, I wouldn't have thrown scissors."
Vivienne was speechless.
Ever since Julian had insulted her intelligence, Aurelia had remained completely silent. But seeing Julian lower himself to carry Vivienne in his arms, she felt a sudden, sharp pang of dismay.
Watching Julian walk away with Vivienne, Aurelia hesitated for a moment before silently following them.
The "murder scene" in the Elite Class 3 had alerted the entire building. The incident was the talk of the school, and everyone was waiting to see the grisly fate of the person brave enough to mess with Julianne Whitmore.
But to everyone's absolute shock, the scene that unfolded was that of the untamed, rebellious young man carrying the blood-soaked girl all the way across the campus field.
