The parking lot at Crestline Academy was larger than a commercial mall's underground garage. Right now, a dense crowd of gossiping students encircled a row of luxury cars.
In the eye of the storm, Harrison Montclair and Bernard Whitmore led a group of troublemakers. Harrison had one foot planted aggressively on the hood of a Maybach. Standing in front of the car was Cyril Ravenshire, with Lennox Raynor positioned closely behind him.
Everyone wore the same camouflage uniforms, but Cyril stood out with his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and perfect features, effortlessly commanding the crowd's attention. In contrast, Harrison and his crew looked like a group of sloppy, abstract sketches dropped into a masterpiece.
"Cyril, you did that on purpose, didn't you? You think you can completely humiliate me and just walk away?"
"I already explained it wasn't on purpose," Cyril replied evenly. "In that situation, if I didn't pull your pants down, you would have pulled mine down. Given the choice between being humiliated or humiliating you, I chose the latter. Am I wrong?"
The crowd erupted into roaring laughter.
Someone bold enough shouted from the back, "No, you're not!"
Harrison's face turned as dark as a cast-iron skillet.
Five hours ago, the students had smoothly transitioned into the training camp. The exercises were broken up by class. To liven the mood, a young instructor had suggested a friendly wrestling match among the boys.
Harrison, who had previously hired thugs to jump Cyril, knew he was injured and purposely challenged him.
Harrison's plan had been to fight dirty and strip Cyril in front of everyone, making him the laughingstock of the entire school. Instead, Cyril easily countered the move, leaving Harrison bare-assed for the whole camp to see.
Just thinking about it made Harrison want to commit murder. What infuriated him more was that the crowd was actually taking Cyril's side!
"Who said that?!" Harrison exploded, pointing viciously at the onlookers. "If you've got the guts, step out and say it to my face!"
Intimidated by the Montclair family's power, the students lowered their heads in silence.
Julian Ravenshire and Lucas Aven were watching from the crowd. Annoyed by Harrison's arrogance, Lucas nudged Julian. "Hey, you guys are family. Are you really going to stand here and let Harrison bully your brother?"
