Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 240

After watching the vehicles depart one by one, Alaric stood in silence for a moment before turning back toward the estate.

Inside the Main Hall, the dining room and tea area had already been cleared. Caspian sat upright at a heavy rosewood table, his eyes sharp and clear. Two delicate porcelain teacups rested on the polished surface.

"Grandpa," Alaric greeted as he approached.

Caspian tapped the table. "Sit."

Alaric gave a slight nod and took his seat.

Caspian poured the tea himself, letting his gaze linger on Alaric for a moment before smiling faintly. "You hold your liquor well."

"I switched to water halfway through, Grandpa."

Caspian waved a hand dismissively. "The atmosphere was set. What you were actually drinking doesn't matter. So? Did you notice anything about what happened today?"

Alaric thought for a moment, meeting Caspian's gaze. "Are you trying to win over the Montclair family?"

Caspian shook his head. "A family that stands at the pinnacle of Athelvia cannot be bought with a single copper mine."

Alaric considered this more deeply. "So... you want to fracture them?"

A glint of approval flashed in Caspian's eyes. "How did you arrive at that?"

"Of the five major families, only the Corbin family is run by a matriarch. The rest are led by the older generation. Reginald might be the head of the Montclair family, but Ethan was always the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. Now that Ethan is in prison, their finances have taken a massive hit. Dropping a lucrative copper mine in their laps right now is like tossing raw meat to starving wolves. The Montclairs have never been a united front. They will tear each other apart fighting for the mining rights."

He hesitated slightly. "But... Grandpa, why are you doing this?"

Caspian took a slow, deliberate sip of his tea. "I will explain the reasons when the time is right. For now, I want to teach you a different lesson."
