Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 26

When Vivienne returned to Vellmont Lodge, Serena had already cleared out the room. Isabella, holding a grudge over the room change, hadn't shown her face at all. The housekeepers had packed her things for her.

Vivienne was speechless.

Then again, wasn't this packing a bit too thorough?

Looking at the nearly empty bedroom, Vivienne deliberately turned around and stepped out of the room to check if she had gone to the wrong one.

Serena, worried about what Vivienne might have said at Northwing Court, had rushed over as soon as she heard she was back. Seeing her hesitating at the door, Serena feigned confusion. "What are you looking for?"

Vivienne pointed inside, playing dumb. "Was I robbed? Why is everything gone?"

Serena was taken aback for a second. "What nonsense are you talking about? The room is all yours now. What's wrong with giving a few things to Isabella? Don't tell me you're really going to cut ties with Isabella?"

Vivienne pushed the door open. Caspian had poured his heart into creating Whitestone Lodge, and every piece of furniture and decor was priceless. Her dear sister was truly bold and greedy to have taken it all.

"Isabella is used to all these things. You're the older sister, so you should let her have them, right?"

Serena subtly watched Vivienne's expression. She had expected a furious outburst, but there was none. Vivienne remained calm, walking into the bathroom as if nothing was wrong. A moment later, the sound of water rushing into the tub filled the silence.

This was too abnormal.

Serena frowned slightly and, after a moment's hesitation, followed her into the bathroom.

Vivienne was leaning over the tub, her fingers idly playing with the splashing water. As if she knew Serena would follow, she grinned without a care in the world. "Something you need?"

Serena frowned, studying Vivienne. She had raised this girl under her own roof for three years and knew her character inside and out. Rather than believing Vivienne was capable of elaborate schemes, she was more inclined to think she was just putting on a brave face.

After a moment of thought, Serena's tone softened. "Vivienne, Isabella is just being childish. Don't stoop to her level. It's all just little things, you won't let it bother you, right?"

Vivienne nodded. "Right."

The people from eleven years ago.

And…

She slowly held up her hand. And her twelve-year-old self.

At first, she had been disappointed. Why couldn't she have returned as an adult? Then she wouldn't be under Serena's thumb. But after seeing Cyril, she had completely changed her mind.

From a strategic perspective, returning at twelve was advantageous. It was an age of innocence, and most people wouldn't be on guard around a child. If she was patient enough and hid her intentions well, she could definitely uncover the traitor.

Figures like Cyril and Alaric would grow up to be deceptively brilliant. Dealing with one of them would be hard enough, let alone two. But things were different now. She was a Vivienne who had survived the adult world, while they were still just kids. If she ever had to face them in the future, wouldn't she have a better chance of winning?

Lost in thought, a wave of drowsiness suddenly washed over her. She gave a lazy yawn, rolled over, and fell asleep.
