Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 296

If no one was allowed in, how was Lara supposed to streak?

Vivienne was a little annoyed, glaring sideways at the cold, untouchable man standing before her. Was this jerk born just to oppose her?

The scene before him was disastrous. Two young women of the Ravenshire family—one completely exposed, the other in tatters. The other two were also a sorry sight.

Alaric frowned, his gaze turning somber. "What happened?"

The two bully girls trembled, looking toward Lara. They had only acted so arrogantly because they believed Lara would protect them.

Lara hugged her knees tightly. Although Alaric was her cousin, he was still a man. The sheer humiliation left her without the courage to even lift her head.

"What happened?" Vivienne seized the moment, jumping up and pointing at Lara.

"Well, you have yourself to thank for changing your dance partner at the last minute! Lara was furious and got people to teach me a lesson. She wanted me to skinny-dip in the pond, and when I refused, they all ganged up on me."

Alaric's eyelid twitched.

When Vivienne jumped up, she looked like an exquisite porcelain doll. She claimed she had no curves and no shame, but that was the biggest misunderstanding of herself. She was a raw diamond, undeniably stunning even unpolished.

"Alaric! You..."

Before Vivienne could finish, her face was covered. The next second, the crisp, quiet scent of cedar washed over her. It smelled like melting snow—familiar yet strange.

She froze, pulling down the black suit jacket covering her head, her expression complicated.

Alaric said, "Put the jacket on. If you ever dare strip in public again, I'll have Grandpa teach you some manners."

Vivienne let out a scoff of disbelief, turning her head away, too lazy to look at him.

Alaric was a stickler for the rules, absurdly rigid about certain things. He valued the Ravenshire family's reputation more than his own life. Lara was intricately tied to the family. With him here, forcing Lara to streak was out of the question.
