Serena's fingers curled into tight fists. She let out a bitter, cutting laugh before reaching out to caress Isabella's face. "Isabella, do you want to get back into the Obsidian Estate? Do you want to be the elite of the elite?"

Isabella nodded eagerly. She wanted it more than anything. She dreamed about it.

The viciousness in Serena's eyes instantly softened into maternal affection. "Then you have to listen to me carefully. Don't end up like your arrogant, ignorant sister."

On the other side of the estate, the doors to the Tea Room burst open. The incense in the Golden Chimera Censer had just burned down to its final inch, leaving trails of fragrant smoke curling through the air.

Vivienne's eyes were practically sparkling. She took two steps in, remembered something, and cautiously double-checked that the doors were securely shut behind her.

"Grandpa," she panted, out of breath. She held out her hands. In one palm rested a tiny memory card; in the other, a heavily folded piece of paper.

"What's this?" Caspian asked, eyeing the two items with a hint of hesitation. After a moment of thought, his expression shifted. "Is this what they were tearing apart the art room for?"

Vivienne's eyes went wide with sheer admiration.

God! Grandpa was too smart!

Ever since she rejected the system's mission, she had been racking her brain trying to figure out a logical way to hand this evidence over without raising suspicion.

Those girls were suffering right now, and true salvation couldn't wait. At her current rate of growth, it would take an eternity to gain the power to save them herself. She wasn't soulless enough to let them endure years of torment just so she could claim some system reward later.
