The Elite class students exchanged awkward glances and quickly stepped aside.

Julianne scowled. "What are you trying to say, Mina?"

Mina gestured toward the board in the flower bed. "Was I not clear enough? You're an embarrassment. You're humiliating the entire Elite class."

Vivienne couldn't help but laugh out loud. Three years later, Mina was exactly the same—attacking everyone indiscriminately.

Fearing the situation would escalate, Sophia Everhart tugged at Mina's sleeve. "Stop it. It's opening day. Have you forgotten the new rule? Anyone caught causing trouble today gets expelled."

"Ha!" Mina scoffed. "Are you blind? The senior Elite class earned their spot with actual skill. Alaric got near-perfect scores across all thirteen subjects. Preston was only seven points behind him, and Cyril was just one point behind Preston. Now look at our scores."

The crowd immediately checked their own board.

Disaster. Their top student had scored two hundred points lower than the Talent & Virtue's top student.

Julianne's face fell. She hadn't thought it through; she had only wanted to crush the scholarship students' egos.

"There are a million ways to beat them," Mina said coldly. "But you chose the most brainless option. It's one thing to be stupid, but don't drag the rest of us down with you. Let's go, Sophia. I can't stand being associated with this."

Shamed by Mina's harsh words, the onlookers awkwardly scattered and slipped back into their classrooms.

Julianne's face shifted from green to pale white. She pointed at the flower bed. "Go tear that list down."
