Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 313

The boy blushed deeply. "She said I know how to make myself useful."

His friend stared at him in disbelief.

Alaric turned his head and continued up the stairs.

Under the blazing autumn sun, the start of the school year was always the most vibrant day on campus.

Students buzzed with energy, walking into classrooms in groups of twos and threes. After a long summer, many had completely transformed, and friends eagerly swapped vacation stories the moment they reunited.

Bored, Vivienne opened her chat with Bianca. Their last exchange had been a week ago. Since they were fourteen, Bianca had spent every summer in Solenforth studying under Theodore Marsh. She usually returned a week before school started, but this time she had mentioned a delay.

"Hahaha, Julianne, that was so satisfying! Did you see? Those lower-class losers from Talent & Virtue turned green."

"Exactly. They think snagging the top national score makes them special. Thinking they could hang their Crimson Roll above our Elite class—they really don't know their place."

Julianne Whitmore's grand entrance was always accompanied by a chorus of obnoxious flattery. A group of girls chattered as they walked in, every one of them practically oozing superiority.

Drawn by the commotion, the rest of the class turned curious eyes toward Julianne.

"Julianne, what happened?"

Julianne had intended to ignore the question, but after glancing at Vivienne, she changed her mind. Her eyes flashed with arrogance. "The idiots in Talent & Virtue forgot their place, so I taught them a little lesson."

Striking a pose, she flipped her hair and shot Vivienne a condescending look before walking to her seat.

The girls around her dialed back their attitude, exchanging quiet glances before returning to their desks.

Julianne strutted into the crowd with a smug smile. "What's so confusing? I had them switch the placement."

The school was full of unfair policies, but The Crimson Roll had always been the one exception.

It was a century-old tradition: the highest scores took the highest placement. This year's freshman Elite class lacked prodigies. Their scores were exceedingly average, so poor they wouldn't even qualify for the bottom tier of the scholarship class. Meanwhile, the Talent & Virtue class boasted several brilliant students with absurdly high marks.

Logically, their board should have been mounted above the Elite class, but their positions had been swapped.

Vivienne looked across at the opposing building. No wonder the scholarship students looked so furious, entirely devoid of any celebratory joy.

"I have no idea what you're so proud of. Having such pathetic scores displayed at the very top—aren't you embarrassed?"

Mina Blackthorne stepped out from the stairwell.
